instrumentb2bAnalysis of Motor Operation Faults in TDL Large Capacity Desktop Low Speed Centrifuge

TDL Large Capacity Desktop Low Speed CentrifugeThe structural design is reasonable, effectively eliminating hygiene blind spots. The transition of structural components is smooth, and the surface is polished. The external structural components, fasteners, and drum are all made of stainless steel. The shell is flip type, which can clean the interlayer space of the centrifuge shell without the drum.

The TDL large capacity desktop low-speed centrifuge adopts a DC brushless motor, microcontroller control, can pre select speed, time, centrifugal force, LCD display, full touch, warning alarm, multiple protections, new panel design, easy operation, fast start and stop, and is the preferred equipment for medical and health, food, environmental protection, scientific research, and teaching. It can be widely used in clinical medicine, biochemistry, immunology, blood stations and other fields, and is a conventional instrument used for centrifugal precipitation in laboratories.
Motor malfunction phenomenon of TDL large capacity desktop low-speed centrifuge: Press the start button, the motor rotates briefly or does not rotate at all, and an alarm is immediately triggered.
Analysis: The centrifuge is equipped with a speed measurement device, which sets the speed and time. When the start button is pressed, the motor rotates. The speed measurement device feeds back the speed signal to the CPU, which adjusts the speed according to the set value. After startup, if the set speed value cannot be reached within the specified time, an alarm will be triggered.
In this situation, it is necessary to replace the motherboard, but the value of the motherboard is relatively expensive. We plan to switch to manual speed regulation, which will be more economical. During the restructuring, it was found that the motor bearings were worn out and the motor did not rotate properly, which affected the starting and caused this malfunction. After replacing the bearing, the machine was tested without load and set to below 1500 rpm. The fault persisted, but above 1500 rpm, it could rotate but the speed was unstable. It should be tested with load, and the test machine with load is normal. When starting without a load, the motor current is high and the motor speed easily exceeds 1500 revolutions per minute, which is higher than the set value. The CPU sends a deceleration signal and the motor stops rotating again, at which point the machine will sound an alarm. However, during high-speed operation, due to tuning, the speed fluctuates between high and low, resulting in poor stability of the speed.
