2024 New Energy Battery Industry Development Conference opens

On the morning of August 25, 2024, the 2024 New Energy Battery Industry Development Conference, guided by the China Light Industry Federation and the China Battery Industry Association, and hosted by the Shandong Provincial Energy Bureau and the Zaozhuang Municipal Government, opened in Zaozhuang. The China Light Industry Federation will continue to pay attention to the development of the Zaozhuang industry, and provide full support in scientific and technological innovation, standard quality, green intelligence, skilled talents, and other aspects, empowering Zaozhuang to build a new energy battery city in China.

In his speech, Bian Guangqi pointed out that the theme of this conference is "Gathering as a Battery City, Creating a Green Future Together", which will help stimulate industry wisdom and strength, and promote innovation in the new energy battery industry through technological innovation. I hope that the attendees will take this conference as an opportunity to strengthen the exchange and integration of industry, academia, and research, comprehensively improve product quality, efficiency, and safety levels, actively explore and practice, and make greater contributions to building a new energy system and achieving the "dual carbon" goal.

Zhang Haibo emphasized in his speech that developing the new energy battery industry is of great significance for cultivating new quality productivity in the energy field and promoting the construction of green, low-carbon, and high-quality development pilot zones. In recent years, the province has adhered to the development of industrial clusters, breakthroughs in technology centralization, and market-oriented cultivation of projects, vigorously expanding the high-quality track of integrated development of green energy and advanced manufacturing industries, accelerating the cultivation of the new energy battery industry represented by lithium batteries, and making positive contributions to deepening the energy revolution and achieving the "dual carbon" goal. Next, we hope that Zaozhuang can fully leverage its own advantages, continuously extend the industrial chain, strengthen the innovation chain, enhance the value chain, accelerate the construction of a more competitive and influential industrial ecology, continue to sing the strong voice of the new energy industry cluster, and effectively demonstrate its responsibility of "leading the way and shouldering the big beam".

Academician of the European Academy of Sciences, Li Changming, delivered a keynote speech titled "New Developments in the Battery Industry", which deeply elaborated on the challenges and opportunities faced by the new energy battery industry under the background of the dual carbon strategy. He detailed the development process of the new energy battery industry and shared his unique insights on promoting innovation and industrial application of energy storage technology.

During the conference, a series of activities were also held, including a dialogue on special battery technology and development trends, a forum on innovative development of the lithium battery industry, and a conference on industry university research application exchanges in the new energy battery industry.
