Key points of operation specifications for programmable box type muffle furnace
Date: 2025-11-18Read: 0
Programmable box type muffle furnaceThe core of the operation is to strictly follow the heating program, provide safety protection and regular maintenance to avoid high temperature risks and equipment failures.
1、 Preparation before operation
Check the appearance of the equipment, whether the power cord and grounding are intact, and confirm that the furnace door gasket is not damaged and there are no debris inside the furnace chamber.
Check the characteristics of the sample to ensure that it contains no flammable, explosive, or volatile components, and to avoid danger during heating.
Set a reasonable heating program, including starting temperature, heating rate, constant temperature time, and cooling method, to avoid overheating or rapid heating that may damage the equipment.
2、 Key points of operation
Place the sample evenly on the sample rack inside the furnace, ensuring a safe distance between the sample and the furnace wall and heating element, close the furnace door and lock it.
Start the program according to the device operation process, monitor the temperature display and operating status in real time, and immediately suspend operation if any abnormalities occur (such as sudden temperature rise or alarm).
During the constant temperature process, it is forbidden to open the furnace door at will. If observation is needed, it can be done through the observation window to prevent high-temperature gas from leaking out and causing burns or affecting temperature stability.
3、 Cooling and Sampling Standards
After the program ends, natural cooling should be prioritized, and forced air cooling is prohibited (except for special models) to avoid cracking of the furnace body due to excessive temperature differences.
After the temperature inside the furnace drops to a safe range (usually ≤ 100 ℃), the furnace door can be opened for sampling. High temperature protective gloves, goggles, and other equipment should be worn when taking samples.
Clean the furnace cavity promptly after sampling, remove residual samples or impurities, and keep the furnace clean.
4、 Security and Maintenance Core
Firefighting equipment should be equipped in the operation area, and flammable materials should not be piled up. Operators should be familiar with emergency response procedures.
Regularly check the integrity of heating elements and temperature control sensors, calibrate temperature display accuracy once a month to ensure accurate data.
When the equipment is not in use for a long time, the power supply should be cut off, dust and moisture prevention measures should be taken, and the equipment should be regularly (quarterly) run without load to check its performance.
