The EMAG830 oxygen nitrogen hydrogen analyzer achieves high-precision synchronous analysis of oxygen, nitrogen, and hydrogen elements in inorganic materials such as metals and ceramics through the combination of inert gas melting method and multi detector technology. The analysis process covers four core steps: sample preparation, high-temperature melting, gas separation, and detection. The detection accuracy is improved by 20% compared to traditional equipment, and the analysis time is shortened to within 3 minutes.
1、 Sample preparation and pretreatment
Before analysis, the sample needs to be accurately weighed to 1g (error ≤ 0.1mg) and placed in a high-purity graphite crucible. For refractory samples such as titanium alloys, tin or nickel fluxes can be added to reduce the melting temperature. The equipment adopts a dual feeding mechanism of flux/sample, and eliminates residual oxygen, nitrogen, and hydrogen interference in the flux through an independent degassing device (temperature ≤ 1200 ℃), reducing the blank value to below 0.02ppm.
2、 High temperature inert melting and gas release
The sample is heated in an 8kW pulse electrode furnace under helium protection, with a furnace temperature of up to 3500 ℃, and monitored in real-time by a non-contact optical sensor. At high temperatures, oxygen in the sample reacts with the graphite crucible to produce carbon monoxide (CO), while nitrogen and hydrogen are released in molecular form. After removing impurities through a dust filter (pore size ≤ 0.5 μ m), the mixed gas enters the gas conversion unit.
3、 Gas Separation and Detection Technology
1. Oxygen content detection: CO gas is converted into carbon dioxide (CO2) through a copper oxide catalytic device (350 ℃), and then enters a dual infrared detection cell (wavelength 4.26 μ m and 2.35 μ m). The instrument automatically switches the detection range, using direct CO detection for low concentrations (0.04-100ppm) and CO2 detection for high concentrations (100ppm-5%), with an accuracy of ± 0.02ppm or RSD ≤ 0.5%.
2. Nitrogen content detection: After the mixed gas absorbs CO2 and H2O through sodium hydroxide/anhydrous magnesium perchlorate, nitrogen enters the long cell thermal conductivity detector (TCD). By comparing the thermal conductivity difference between nitrogen and carrier gas (helium), quantitative analysis within the concentration range of 0.04ppm-3% can be achieved with an accuracy of ± 0.02ppm or RSD ≤ 0.5%.
3. Hydrogen content detection: Hydrogen gas is converted to H2O under the catalysis of copper oxide, and after constant temperature drying at 120 ℃, it enters the infrared detection cell (wavelength 2.66 μ m). The instrument uses Schulz reagent (CuO-Al2O3) to optimize the conversion efficiency, with a detection range of 0.08ppm-0.25% and an accuracy of ± 0.04ppm or RSD ≤ 2%.
4、 Data processing and equipment maintenance
Analyze the data and display it in real-time through a microcomputer, and generate a release curve graph. The device has a built-in maintenance navigator that can prompt for consumables replacement (such as dust filters, copper oxide catalysts) and provide 3D operation video guidance. The automatic cleaning device cleans the electrode graphite dust after each analysis to ensure long-term stability.

The EMAG830 oxygen nitrogen hydrogen analyzer simplifies the complex process of traditional oxygen nitrogen hydrogen analysis into a "one click operation" through modular design and intelligent algorithms. Its detection accuracy and efficiency have been validated in fields such as aerospace and nuclear power materials. With the development of additive manufacturing and new energy materials, the value of this equipment in micro defect control and process optimization will be further highlighted.
