Explosion proof safety cabinetAs a key equipment for storing flammable, explosive, corrosive and other hazardous chemicals, its installation quality directly determines the explosion-proof performance and safety of use. The installation process must strictly follow explosion-proof standards, equipment manuals, and on-site operating conditions to avoid safety hazards caused by improper installation. The following are the core installation precautions.
1、 Precautions for Preparation Before Installation
1. Qualification and scheme verification
Installation personnel must possess qualifications for installing explosion-proof equipment, be familiar with relevant standards such as the "Design Specification for Electrical Installations in Explosive Hazardous Environments", and strictly prohibit unlicensed personnel from operating.
Prepare a special installation plan in advance, clarify the installation process, safety protection measures, emergency plan, and list of tools and spare parts. The plan must be reviewed and approved by the safety management department before implementation.
2. Equipment and on-site inspection
Check the model and explosion-proof level of the explosion-proof safety cabinet (such as Ex d IIB T4 Ga, etc.) to ensure that it matches the hazardous characteristics of the storage medium (such as flash point, explosion limit) and the level of the explosion hazardous area on site. Installation beyond the level is strictly prohibited.
Check the appearance of the equipment for deformation or damage, the explosion-proof surface for scratches or rust, the sealing components for integrity, and the nameplate identification for clarity and completeness; After opening the box, it is necessary to verify that the accompanying accessories (such as grounding bolts, fasteners, and instructions) are complete.
Survey the installation site: Confirm that there are no sources of fire or heat (such as radiators or steam pipelines) at the installation location, and that the distance from the open flame operation area is not less than 10 meters; The ground is flat, the load-bearing capacity meets the standard (calculated based on the full load weight of the cabinet, usually not less than 500kg per square meter), and there is no severe vibration source.
2、 Precautions for core installation operation
1. Foundation and fixed installation
If the ground is made of cement, expansion bolts should be used to secure the bottom fixing holes of the cabinet to the ground, ensuring that the cabinet is stable and free from shaking; If it is an anti-static floor, a metal grounding transition plate should be installed between the cabinet and the floor to avoid damaging the anti-static performance of the floor.
When multiple cabinets are installed in parallel, the distance between cabinets should not be less than 50cm, and the distance from the wall should not be less than 30cm, which is convenient for ventilation, maintenance, and emergency operations; It is strictly prohibited to stack heavy objects on the top of the cabinet to avoid deformation that may affect the explosion-proof seal.
2. Key requirements for explosion prevention and grounding
During installation, it is strictly prohibited to strike or collide with the explosion-proof surface. If there are slight scratches on the explosion-proof surface, special grinding paste should be used to repair and apply rust proof oil; The explosion-proof gap between the cabinet door and the cabinet body should meet the requirements of the instruction manual, usually not exceeding 0.1mm.
Reliable grounding must be carried out: use a copper core grounding wire with a cross-sectional area of not less than 4mm ², connect one end to the cabinet's dedicated grounding bolt (with anti loosening washer), and connect the other end to the on-site grounding main line. The grounding resistance must be tested and not exceed 4 Ω to ensure timely elimination of static electricity.
If the cabinet is equipped with explosion-proof lighting, ventilation and other accessories, explosion-proof junction boxes should be used for wiring. The insulation layer of the wires should not be damaged, and the wiring terminals should be tightened without looseness. It is strictly prohibited to connect non explosion-proof accessories without authorization.
3. Adaptation and installation of supporting facilities
If a ventilation system needs to be connected on site, explosion-proof flexible connections should be used to connect the ventilation ducts to the cabinet ventilation openings, with tightly sealed interfaces to prevent gas leakage; Explosion proof ventilation fans should be selected and installed away from explosive hazardous areas.
Suitable fire extinguishing equipment (such as dry powder fire extinguishers, carbon dioxide fire extinguishers) should be equipped near the cabinet, and the distance should not exceed 5 meters. Clear safety warning signs (such as "flammable and explosive storage area" and "no smoking") should also be set up.
3、 Acceptance and follow-up precautions after installation
1. Acceptance inspection
After installation, it is necessary to check the key parameters such as the firmness of the cabinet fixation, explosion-proof clearance, and grounding resistance. The "Explosion proof Safety Cabinet Installation Acceptance Record Form" should be filled out and signed by the installation personnel, safety officer, and user department for confirmation.
Conduct no-load test run: After closing the cabinet door, check the sealing performance, open ventilation (if any) to confirm normal operation, simulate static electricity export test, and ensure that all functions meet the requirements.
2. Follow up management
Organize and archive installation plans, acceptance records, equipment manuals, and other materials, and submit them to the equipment management department for retention.
Provide training to users, clarify that it is prohibited to dismantle explosion-proof components of the cabinet or change grounding circuits without authorization after installation, and regularly check the grounding connection and explosion-proof sealing status.
