What should be noted during the installation of outdoor hazardous chemical waste storage cabinets
Date: 2025-10-11Read: 1

The cabinet is a double-layer stainless steel structure, and the frame is made of welded square and rectangular pipes made of national standard 304 stainless steel material. The surface is treated with anti-corrosion and anti-oxidation treatment, and the interior of the cabinet is treated with anti-corrosion coating. The enclosure panel of the cabinet is made of double-layer stainless steel and fireproof insulation material. The load-bearing rectangular tube of the cabinet is welded, with high strength and excellent insulation effect.

Site selection and layout:
Safe distance: Keep away from residential areas, fire sources, and important facilities, at least 15 meters away from buildings, and at least 30 meters away from open flames when storing flammable and explosive materials.
Ground foundation: Anti leakage concrete structure is required, with a slope of ≥ 1% and a diversion ditch, connected to an emergency collection tank (with a volume ≥ 1.1 times the maximum single tank), and the cabinet foundation is higher than the ground by ≥ 0.3 meters.
Lightning protection grounding: grounding resistance ≤ 10 Ω (flammable and explosive areas) or ≤ 100 Ω (general areas), using galvanized flat steel or copper-clad steel materials.
Key precautions during installation:
1. Safety protection measures
Personal protection: Operators need to wear protective equipment such as chemical resistant gloves and goggles, and corrosive chemical storage areas should be equipped with eye wash stations (service radius ≤ 15 meters).
Electrostatic protection: Metal cabinets need to be grounded at multiple points (two diagonal points), with a grounding resistance of ≤ 100 Ω (flammable areas) or ≤ 10 Ω (general areas), and regular inspection of rust proof connection points.
Fire and explosion prevention: No open flames are allowed within 1 meter of the cabinet, and dry powder fire extinguishers (≥ 8kg) and fire blankets should be provided around. The ventilation system should be designed for explosion prevention.
Cabinet installation specifications:
Basic requirements: The ground should be made of impermeable concrete, with a slope of ≥ 1% and a diversion ditch. The cabinet foundation should be at least 0.3 meters above the ground and at least 0.5 meters away from the wall/heat source.
Structural sealing: The gap between cabinet doors should be ≤ 3mm, and the joints should be sealed. Flammable cabinets require double-layer steel plates (thickness ≥ 1.2mm) and explosion vents.
Ventilation system: forced exhaust (air exchange rate ≥ 12 times/hour), volatile chemical cabinets need to maintain negative pressure.
