As a brand in the field of humidity and dew point measurement, Michell's dew point meter product line is very extensive, covering various industrial fields from extremely harsh dry to high humidity environments. In general, the core application range of the Miller dew point meter is in situations where there are strict monitoring requirements for the "dryness" and "moisture content" of compressed air, industrial gases, or process gas sources. Below, I will elaborate on its application range from the perspective of measurement.
Divided by measurement range and application scenarios:
1. In harsh dry conditions (dew point ranging from -100 ° C to -20 ° C)
This is the traditional advantage area of Michell, especially in its cold mirror dew point meter and high-performance capacitive dew point meter.
Application Scenario:
Industrial gas production: such as monitoring the dryness of ultra-high purity nitrogen (N2), hydrogen (H2), oxygen (O2), and argon (Ar) used in semiconductor, photovoltaic, and fiber optic manufacturing.
Petrochemical industry: Monitor trace amounts of moisture in feed gases such as ethylene and propylene, as well as in polymerization process gases, to prevent catalyst poisoning and ensure product quality.
Compressed air system: used to measure the dew point of "instrument air" treated by adsorption dryer (membrane dryer), ensuring compliance with ISO 8573.1 level 1 or level 2 standards (usually requiring -40 ° C to -70 ° C).
Power industry: Measure the trace moisture content of insulation oil and SF6 gas in high-voltage transformers to prevent insulation performance degradation and accidents.
Aerospace: Testing moisture in aircraft fuel systems, cabin air supply pipelines, etc.

2. Conventional drying and process control field (dew point from -60 ° C to+20 ° C)
This is a common application range in industry, mainly using capacitive polymer thin films or ceramic metal oxide sensors.
Application Scenario:
Compressed air system: Monitor the dew point at the outlet of the refrigerated dryer (refrigerated dryer) (usually between+3 ° C and -20 ° C) to ensure its normal operation.
Plastic and rubber drying: Monitor the dew point of the drying air in the injection molding machine and extruder hopper to ensure that plastic particles are fully dried and prevent defects such as bubbles and silver lines in the product.
Food and pharmaceutical packaging: Monitor the gas dryness on nitrogen filled packaging and modified atmosphere packaging production lines to extend shelf life.
Industrial furnaces and heat treatment: Control the dew point of protective atmospheres (such as nitrogen based atmospheres) to prevent metal workpieces from being oxidized or decarburized during the heating process.
Lithium battery production: Monitor the dew point of protective gas in drying rooms or glove boxes during processes such as ear welding and liquid injection that are extremely sensitive to environmental humidity.
Typical instruments: Easidew series, MDM300 (capacitive version), etc. These products have high cost-effectiveness, are sturdy and durable, and are suitable for most industrial environments.
3. High humidity and high temperature environments (dew point up to+95 ° C or even higher)
Some processes involve high temperature and high humidity gases, and Micellar also has corresponding solutions.
Application Scenario:
Drying process of wood, paper, and textiles: Monitor the dew point of exhaust gas at the outlet of the drying furnace or oven to optimize the process and save energy.
Ceramic sintering.
High temperature process gases: such as boiler flue gas, gas turbine inlet, etc.
Typical instrument: Dew point meter with special design and cooling sampling system, which can cope with the challenges of high temperature and high humidity.
