On April 18-20, 2025, the 'First International Academic Forum on Reservoir Life Cycle Geological Disaster Prevention and Control (2025) - Commemorating the 40th Anniversary of Successful Prediction of the Yangtze River Three Gorges Xintan Landslide', jointly hosted by the International Association for Geological Hazards and Disaster Reduction and the Chinese Society of Rock Mechanics and Engineering, and organized by Three Gorges University and other units, was held in Yichang, Hubei Province.
