Amino resin plays an important role in both water treatment and pharmaceutical fields

Amino resin plays an important role in both water treatment and pharmaceutical fields, with specific functions as follows:
1、 In the field of water treatment:
1. Anion exchange and removal: Resin belongs to weakly alkaline anion exchange resin, and the primary amine group (- NH?) in its structure can effectively remove harmful anion substances in water, such as nitrate, chloride ions, sulfate ions, etc., through ion exchange. This efficient removal ability makes it widely used in the fields of water treatment and wastewater treatment.
2. Regeneration ability: After a period of use, the primary amino resin will gradually lose its exchange ability, but through regeneration treatments such as acid-base washing, its performance can be restored, achieving repeated use. This feature is not only environmentally friendly, but also relatively low-cost, improving its economy and sustainability.
3. Application example: Macroporous resin is a polymer with a three-dimensional network structure and primary amino functional groups. It combines the high specific surface area, excellent mass transfer performance, and strong reactivity of primary amino groups of macroporous resin, and has a wide range of applications in the field of water treatment. For example, a certain resin has high specific surface area, high porosity, high exchange capacity, and good mechanical strength and chemical stability, making it suitable for various water treatment scenarios.
2、 Amino resin in the pharmaceutical field:
1. Organic extraction and purification: In the pharmaceutical industry, resins are commonly used to separate and extract organic compounds with ionic properties, such as antibiotics, amino acids, peptides, and alkaloids. Through ion exchange, adsorption, and desorption processes, the separation of target substances from impurities is achieved. For example, using anionic resin to adsorb antibiotics in fermentation broth, washing impurities by adjusting pH and salt concentration, and then washing the target product with acidic solution.
2. Ensure the purity and safety of drugs: Primary amino resin can remove harmful substances from water during the pharmaceutical process, ensuring the purity and safety of drugs. This is crucial for producing high-quality, safe, and effective drugs.
3. Application example: In the purification process of β - lactam antibiotics such as penicillin and streptomycin, the adsorption properties of anionic resins are utilized. Meanwhile, in the solid-phase synthesis of peptide drugs, resin also plays an important role as a carrier for solid-phase synthesis.
