Interference diffraction experimental apparatusIt can be used for both optical demonstration experiments and optical experimental instruments. The interference diffraction experimental device integrates interference experiments and diffraction experiments into one experimental device, which can conduct both interference and diffraction experiments of light.
Experimental content:
1. Yang's double slit interference and Fresnel prism interference
2. Fraunhofer single slit diffraction
Operation steps of interference diffraction experimental instrument
1. Instrument preparation and leveling
Adjust the bottom corner screw to level the guide rail and tighten the fixing ring.
Turn on the laser light source and ensure that the beam is directed vertically towards the center of mirror M1.
2. Light path adjustment
Equal arm adjustment: Move the M2 mirror to make M1, M2 roughly equidistant from the splitter plate G1.
Coincidence of the brightest spots: adjust the screws behind M1 and M2 mirrors to make the brightest spots of the two mirrors coincide strictly (adjust M1 first and then M2).
Stripe observation: Rotate the observation screen, and if there is interference with the circular ring, adjust the screw to stabilize the center of the ring.
3. Data recording
Laser wavelength measurement:
Record the initial position d0, rotate the fine adjustment handwheel in the same direction, and move the mirror by λ/2 with each rotation.
Record the indication once for every 20 stripes that appear or disappear (a total of 6 times: d0-d5).
Calculate the wavelength using the incremental method.
White light interference:
Slowly adjust the micrometer screw and observe the colored stripes (black brown in the center and colored on both sides).
4. Precautions
When adjusting screws, they should be evenly tightened to avoid damage.
White light interference fringes are few and require careful operation.
