The Milton Roy metering pump G series B-type pump is a reciprocating compound dosing diaphragm metering pump that can deliver controlled flow rates of up to 1800L/hr and pressures of up to 10Bar (depending on the pump model). The stroke adjustment mechanism is based on the working principle of variable eccentricity mechanism, replacing the traditional design form of no-load stroke. This design significantly reduces the degree of pressure and flow pulsation, extending the lifespan of system components and allowing for more continuous addition of compounds. This model of pump is designed for industrial production operation, with a stable attitude of+/-2% within a flow range of 10% -100%.

Operating principle of Milton Roy metering pump:

The pump consists of two main components: the drive part and the pump head part. The output flow rate of a pump is a function of the stroke speed of the driving part, the size of the pump head, and the current stroke length. When the pump is running or stopped, the stroke length can be adjusted by changing the stroke adjustment knob. The motor rotates to drive the worm gear reduction part, which drives the variable eccentric crankshaft. The adjustable crankshaft transmits reciprocating motion to the diaphragm through the connecting rod. By changing the position of the variable eccentric crankshaft on the connecting rod, the stroke length can be adjusted. When the suction stroke ends, the diaphragm movement stops instantly; The pressure inside the pump head is equal to the pressure in the suction pipeline, and the one-way valve ball at the suction port is reset.

Attention: During the suction stroke, the pressure inside the pump head must be higher than the vapor pressure of the material. If the liquid pressure is lower than its gasification pressure, cavitation will occur, affecting the performance of the pump. During the discharge stroke, the diaphragm begins to move forward, and the pressure inside the pump head immediately increases. When the pump head pressure is higher than the discharge pipeline pressure, the one-way valve ball at the discharge outlet is pushed upwards, and the liquid in the pump head enters the discharge pipeline. When the discharge stroke ends, the diaphragm stops moving instantly again, and the pressure inside the pump head is the same as the pressure in the discharge pipeline. The one-way valve ball at the discharge outlet resets. Then start the next cycle.
