The following are solutions and operating instructions for common faults in fully automatic activators, covering the main types of faults, cause analysis, and handling methods to help you quickly troubleshoot and restore normal equipment operation:
1、 Power failure
phenomenon
The device shuts down after no response, the display screen does not light up or flashes.
Possible reasons
Poor contact of power cord: loose plug or aging socket.
Fuse blown: Protective power-off caused by voltage fluctuations or internal short circuits.
Power module damage: Long term high load operation causes component aging.
solution
Basic inspection: Re plug and unplug the power cord, replace the spare socket for testing; If using a regulated power supply, confirm that its output is stable.
Replace fuse: Refer to the instruction manual specifications (usually indicated on the equipment nameplate or internal label) and replace the fuse with the same model.
Attention: If the fuse frequently burns out, it is necessary to check whether there is a short circuit or excessive load in the circuit.
Professional maintenance: If the above is ineffective, contact an engineer to inspect the power module or motherboard power supply part.
2、 Mechanical motion abnormality
phenomenon
The robotic arm is stuck, shaking, or unable to move to the designated position; An abnormal noise is emitted during operation.
Possible reasons
Lack of oil or dust accumulation on the guide rail/slider: Long term lack of maintenance leads to increased friction.
Belt looseness or breakage: Wear of the transmission system affects power transmission.
Motor driver malfunction: abnormal control signal or motor overheating protection triggered.
solution
Cleaning and lubrication: After turning off the power, wipe the guide rail with a dust-free cloth and apply special silicon-based lubricating oil (do not exceed); Clean the debris in the gap of the slider.
Adjust belt tension: Loosen the fixing screws, tighten the belt moderately and lock it, and replace the belt with a new one if necessary.
Restart the driver module: Disconnect the power and let it stand for a period of time before restarting. If the motor overheats repeatedly, check if the cooling fan is working properly.
Serious jamming: Manually push the robotic arm to test the resistance point. If foreign objects are found to be blocking, stop the machine immediately for cleaning.
3、 Sensor/detection system error
phenomenon
The screen prompts "temperature/pressure/optical detection failed", or the data fluctuates violently.
Possible reasons
Sensor probe contamination: Sample residue covers the sensing window.
Calibration deviation: Long term lack of calibration or drastic changes in environmental temperature and humidity.
Poor contact of signal line: loose interface or electromagnetic interference.
solution
Cleaning the sensor: Remove the protective cover according to the instructions and gently wipe the surface of the probe with an alcohol swab to avoid scratching the coating.
Recalibrate: Enter the system settings menu and execute the factory calibration program; If standard substances are required, strictly follow the calibration solution/sheet provided by the manufacturer for operation.
Check the wiring: unplug and reconnect the sensor data cable, and place the instrument away from strong electromagnetic equipment.
Environmental control: Ensure that the laboratory temperature and humidity meet the equipment requirements (refer to the instructions), and avoid direct sunlight or air conditioning.
4、 Software crashes or program malfunctions
phenomenon
The touch screen is unresponsive, the buttons are malfunctioning, or the sequence of process jumps is incorrect.
Possible reasons
System file corruption: sudden power outage or virus invasion causing program crash.
Memory overflow: Running too many tasks simultaneously exceeds the processor load.
The firmware version is outdated: there are known bugs that have not been updated.
solution
Soft restart attempt: Press and hold the power button to forcefully shut down, wait for a moment before restarting, and observe if it can be restored to normal.
Restore factory settings: After backing up important data, perform the restore operation through the hidden menu (see instructions for details).
Upgrade firmware: Download the latest firmware package and follow the instructions to upload updates through the USB port.
Anti virus measures: Disable the automatic playback function of the USB flash drive and regularly check and kill computer viruses connected to the device.
5、 Abnormal sample processing (such as coagulation, bubbles)
phenomenon
Uneven mixing of samples, generation of large amounts of bubbles, or incomplete inhalation of pre filled reagents.
Possible reasons
Pipeline blockage: Particulate matter accumulates in the pump tube or valve port.
Injector leakage: The wear of the sealing ring leads to insufficient negative pressure.
Improper parameter settings: The speed/time/volume ratio does not match the current sample type.
solution
Cleaning fluid circuit: Perform daily cleaning procedures, and for stubborn blockages, use distilled water to backwash the pipeline in reverse.
Replace consumables: Regularly inspect and replace vulnerable parts such as syringe pistons and silicone tubes.
Optimize parameters: Adjust the mixing speed and cycle times according to different sample viscosities (such as whole blood vs plasma).
