1、 Definition and Focus

1.EMC:

Definition: Refers to the ability of a device or system to operate normally in its electromagnetic environment without causing unbearable electromagnetic interference to anything in that environment.

Focus: Mainly pay attention to whether the electromagnetic radiation generated by the equipment exceeds the standard, and whether the equipment can resist electromagnetic interference from other devices. This includes two aspects: electromagnetic emission (EMI) and electromagnetic immunity (EMS).

2. Safety regulations:

Definition: A series of regulations and standards related to safety issues that may arise during the use, transportation, storage, and other processes of a product.

Focus: Mainly on the product's electric shock protection, energy hazard protection, overheating and fire protection, and other aspects. For example, whether the insulation resistance, withstand voltage, grounding and anode indicators of the product meet safety requirements.

Test content: usually includes dielectric strength test, leakage current test, grounding continuity test, temperature rise test, etc.

Standards: Common safety standards include IEC 60335 (Safety of Household and Similar Electrical Appliances), IEC 60950 (Safety of Information Technology Equipment), UL (Underwriters Laboratories) standards, etc. These standards specify specific safety requirements for different types of products.
