Consolidation instrumentIt is an instrument used to determine the compressive properties of soil under different loads and limited conditions, mainly used in the field of geotechnical testing. It usually consists of a consolidation container, a pressurization device, a displacement measurement device, and a data acquisition system. Consolidation containers are used to hold soil samples, pressurization devices such as air compressors and weights are used to apply pressure, displacement measurement devices such as dial gauges and displacement sensors are used to measure the deformation of soil samples, and data acquisition systems are used to record and process data.
Consolidation instrumentTechnical indicators and operating standards:
Key technical parameters:
Sensitivity: ≤ 1kPa, ensuring that small pressure changes can be accurately captured.
Pressure error: Relative error ≤ ± 2kPa, ensuring the reliability of test data.
Automated control: Some models of pneumatic control technology use computer software to set consolidation pressure, automatically collect data, and display real-time charts and curves feedback from displacement sensors.
Operation process:
Instrument leveling: Place the consolidation instrument steadily, ensuring that the lever is located between the lowering brackets and there is no friction.
Sample installation: Use a soil cutter to take a soil sample, level both ends, and install a protective ring. Place the permeable stone, pressure plate, and steel ball in sequence, and finally place them in the pressure frame and install a gauge.
Preloading and Loading: Apply a preloading load of 1kPa to reset the pointer to zero, and then gradually load it.
Leverage balance adjustment: During the loading process, rotate the handwheel counterclockwise to maintain the balance of the lever. It is strictly prohibited to rotate clockwise to avoid vibration of the soil sample due to gaps.
Data recording: Manually record the relationship between soil settlement and load through computer software or scales, providing a basis for subsequent analysis.
