When applied on site, the operator only needs to align the instrument weighing only 1.6 kg with iron-based samples such as bolts, shrapnel, or faucet shells, press "start test", and the instrument will excite the sample through a 50 kV micro focus X-ray tube. The Si PIN detector captures characteristic spectral lines of zinc, nickel, and iron simultaneously within seconds. The Super FP algorithm built into the instrument automatically strips off the substrate signal, providing real-time information on the thickness of the zinc and nickel layers, as well as the total coating thickness, with an accuracy of up to 0.1 µ m, meeting the requirements of ISO 2177 and other standards.
