After depressurization, liquid ammonia vaporizes in the vaporizer and enters the decomposition furnace. The decomposition furnace is equipped with activated nickel catalyst, which decomposes at a temperature of 780-850 ℃ to form 75% hydrogen gas and 25% nitrogen gas. The decomposed high-temperature gas exchanges heat with gaseous ammonia in a heat exchanger, causing the decomposed gas to cool down while the gaseous ammonia heats up and overheats before entering the decomposition furnace. The decomposed gas enters the dryer to remove residual moisture and other impurities. Generally, two dryers are set up, one for adsorbing and drying ammonia decomposition gas, and the other for extracting moisture and residual ammonia under heating (usually at 300-350 ℃), thus achieving the effect of regeneration and reuse.
