  Fire and smoke exhaust actuatorIt is a key equipment for achieving smoke prevention and control automation in the fire protection system, mainly used to control the opening and closing of valves such as fire dampers and smoke exhaust valves to block the spread of fire or quickly discharge smoke, ensuring the safety of personnel evacuation. Its core function lies in intelligent response and precise control. The actuator is equipped with a built-in temperature sensor or receives a fire alarm signal. When the temperature inside the pipeline rises to 70 ℃ (fire damper) or a fire occurs, the valve can be quickly driven to close, preventing flames and high-temperature smoke from spreading through the ventilation duct; In the smoke exhaust scenario, the smoke exhaust valve can be remotely opened, and the smoke exhaust fan can be linked to discharge toxic smoke outside the building. For example, some electric actuators are driven by DC motors and can complete the valve fully open or fully closed action within 5 seconds, with extremely fast response speed.
Fire and smoke exhaust actuators have high reliability and durability. The shell is mostly made of fire-resistant and flame-retardant materials, which can work continuously for more than 30 minutes in high temperature environments (such as 280 ℃) without failure; The internal mechanical structure has been strengthened and designed to withstand frequent opening and closing operations, with a lifespan of tens of thousands of times. At the same time, some products support manual/automatic dual-mode switching, ensuring that valves can still be manually operated in the event of power outages or system failures.

1. Motor drive unit
Function: Provide power to the actuator to drive the opening and closing action of the air valve or fan.
Type:
DC motor (such as 24V DC): commonly used for small actuators with fast response speed.
AC motor (such as 220V AC): used for high-power smoke exhaust systems.
Features: It needs to have overload protection and anti jamming functions, and some motors support forward and reverse control.
2. Transmission mechanism
Function: Convert the rotational motion of the motor into the linear or rotational motion of the air valve.
Common forms:
Gear set: transmits torque and improves mechanical efficiency.
Screw nut: used for linear push-pull actuators (such as electric push rods).
Crank connecting rod: converts rotational motion into the opening and closing swing of the air valve.
Requirement: Corrosion resistance, low friction loss, and regular lubrication required.
3. Air valve or exhaust outlet
Function: Control the opening and closing of smoke exhaust channels, usually linked with actuators.
Type:
Multi leaf exhaust outlet: The blade opening can be adjusted by an actuator (such as fully open or half open).
Fire damper: Built in temperature fuse (such as 280 ℃ fuse), automatically closes in case of fire.
Material: stainless steel, galvanized steel plate or high temperature resistant silicone (if used in anti-corrosion environments).
