Cell smear centrifuges play an important role in cell biology research and laboratory work. Centrifugal technology is widely used in cell separation, concentration, and preparation of smears, especially for cell samples that require precise separation and analysis. The use of centrifuges is particularly important.

Cell smear centrifugeOperation method:
1. Preparation work
Before using a centrifuge, it is necessary to first confirm whether the required centrifuge tubes, centrifuge tube bases, rotors, and other equipment are intact and undamaged. Ensure that the rotor and sample tube of the centrifuge can be balanced during operation. Prepare the cell sample and transfer it to an appropriate centrifuge tube. Normally, the amount of liquid in the centrifuge tube should not exceed one-third of the tube capacity to avoid instability during high-speed rotation.
2. Set centrifugation conditions
The centrifugation conditions mainly include rotational speed (RPM) and centrifugation time. These two parameters will affect the centrifugation effect and usually need to be set according to experimental requirements. For cell precipitation, the commonly used rotational speed is between 1000 and 2000 RPM, and the time is generally set between a few minutes and a dozen minutes. When setting conditions, adjustments should also be made according to the centrifuge model and operating manual.
3. Centrifugal operation
Place the centrifuge tube into the rotor of the centrifuge, ensuring that the sample tube is balanced and evenly distributed. After starting the centrifuge, observe the operation of the instrument to ensure stable operation of the centrifuge during operation. After centrifugation is completed, immediately remove the sample to avoid re dispersion of the sediment after prolonged centrifugation.
4. Sample processing
After centrifugation, cells or other substances will settle at the bottom of the centrifuge tube. Gently remove the supernatant using a pipette, and then proceed to the next step of processing as needed for the experiment, such as smear, staining, or other experimental procedures.
Selection criteria for cell smear centrifuge:
1. Rotational speed and centrifugal force
Different experiments have different requirements for centrifugal force and rotational speed. When selecting, it is necessary to choose the appropriate speed and centrifugal force range according to the requirements of the experiment. A high-speed centrifuge will provide greater centrifugal force, suitable for experiments that require strong separation.
2. Sample size
The sample capacity of the centrifuge should be selected according to the experimental requirements. When dealing with a large number of samples in experiments, it is more appropriate to choose a centrifuge with a large capacity.
3. Operational stability
Cell smear experiments require stable operation, and centrifuges should have good stability and accuracy to ensure the reliability of experimental results.
4. Cleaning and maintenance
The cleaning and maintenance of centrifuges are very important. Choose centrifuge machines that are easy to clean and maintain to reduce the burden of laboratory operations.
