Research Background
RESEARCH BACKGROUND
Capsule filling is one of the key steps in pharmaceutical technology. In pharmaceutical companies, experimenters usually need to produce small batches of capsule drugs for research purposes. Traditional manual or semi-automatic filling methods have problems such as low efficiency, poor precision, inconsistent filling amounts, and difficulty in auditing and tracking data due to a large number of repeated operations. Therefore, the automation, efficiency, and precision of capsule filling technology have become important development directions in the industry. With the continuous advancement of technology and the increasing demand, automated weighing technology for solid reagents has emerged. The introduction of automated solid sampling equipment, through high-precision control systems and automated mechanical devices, can achieve automation and standardization of solid reagent weighing without the need for manual supervision, significantly improving overall experimental efficiency.
Application Cases
APPLICATIONS
In drug formulation research, the commonly used capsule sizes are 0, 1, 2, and 3. In order to verify the reliability of the device under unconventional conditions, we selected the smaller diameter 3 # capsule (diameter 5.3mm) as the container in this test. Utilizing ChemPlus ® We tested three types of capsule powders commonly used by pharmaceutical companies using a desktop solid sampler (drug names are represented by codes A, B, and C). The main purpose of this test is to verify ChemPlus ® Whether the powder addition efficiency meets the standard and whether there is a phenomenon of powder floating caused by the small diameter of the capsule, in order to observe and evaluate its performance in the capsule filling scenario.

Based on the above test data, it can be seen that ChemPlus ® When faced with sampling tasks with different target ranges, capsule powders with different flowability can be accurately and stably weighed, and their standard deviation is strictly controlled within ± 0.1mg. It effectively solves the problem of inaccurate addition of powders with good fluidity and difficulty in smoothly adding powders with poor fluidity in automated weighing. In addition, due to its small diameter, the 3 # capsule is prone to cross contamination, further increasing the difficulty of powder addition operations. Nevertheless, ChemPlus ® Thanks to its powder bucket design, the powder addition task for the 3 # capsule orifice plate was still successfully completed. According to the results in Table 2, no bleaching phenomenon was observed after the powder addition was completed. Of particular note is that, ChemPlus ® Through its precise measurement and control system, the accuracy and consistency of the filling amount of each capsule are ensured, greatly reducing human errors and significantly improving the quality of capsule samples.
