How to maintain the Hetai PH instrument?
Date: 2025-12-04Read: 2
HetaipH meterThe core of maintenance is regular calibration, proper maintenance of electrodes, and keeping equipment clean. The specific operation is divided into three steps:
1. Electrode maintenance (core components)
Daily storage: Soak the electrode in a dedicated 3mol/L solution when not measuring L-potassiumIn KCl solution, it is strictly prohibited to soak it in pure water or air to prevent electrode dehydration and failure.
Pollution treatment: If the electrode is contaminated with oil, clean it with neutral detergent; If there is protein contamination, soak in 5% dilute hydrochloric acid for 10 minutes, and then soak in KCl solution for activation.
Regular replacement: The general electrode lifespan is 6-12 months. If there is a slow response or significant calibration deviation, it needs to be replaced in a timely manner.
2. Regular calibration (to ensure accuracy)
Calibration frequency: It is recommended to use it once a week for routine use; When high measurement accuracy is required or the sample is heavily contaminated, once every 2-3 days.
Calibration procedure: Use standard buffer solutions (commonly pH=4.00, 6.86, 9.18) for calibration. First, calibrate neutral (6.86), and then select acidic (4.00) or alkaline (9.18) buffer solutions for secondary calibration based on the acidity or alkalinity of the measured sample.
3. Overall maintenance of equipment
Body cleaning: Wipe the instrument housing with a dry cloth to prevent sample liquid from seeping into the interface or display screen, and to prevent circuit damage.
Line inspection: Regularly check whether the electrode wires and power wires are damaged, whether the interfaces are loose, and avoid poor contact that affects measurement.
Data recording: Record the time and situation after each calibration and maintenance to facilitate the traceability of equipment status.
