In modern chemistry and biology laboratories, multi infrared magnetic stirrers integrate magnetic stirring and infrared heating functions, which can accurately control temperature and uniformly mix multiple samples simultaneously. They are widely used in experimental scenarios such as solution preparation, solvent evaporation, and reaction synthesis. The collaborative working mode of "stirring" and "heating" greatly improves experimental efficiency.
Multiple infrared magnetic stirrers often encounter problems such as abnormal stirring, heating failure, and infrared temperature measurement deviation due to improper operation, uneven load, or maintenance negligence during high-frequency use. Mastering the diagnosis and solution methods of common faults is the key to ensuring the continuity of experiments and the reliability of data.

Fault 1: The agitator does not rotate or the speed is unstable
Reason: The agitator is too small or lacks magnetic force, the bottom of the container is uneven, the speed is set too low, or the motor drive is faulty.
Solution: Choose a suitable size stirrer that matches the container (such as a cross shaped magnetic reinforcement); Ensure that the bottom of the beaker or test tube is flat and centered; Appropriately increase the rotational speed; If multiple channels fail, check the motor or control board and contact maintenance if necessary.
Fault 2: Slow heating or inability to reach the set temperature
Reason: Aging of infrared heating tube, malfunction of temperature control sensor, rapid environmental heat dissipation, or excessive sample size.
Solution: Check if the heating status is uniform. If a certain area is not hot, the heating tube may be damaged and needs to be replaced; Calibrate or replace PT100 temperature probe; Reduce ventilation interference and use insulation covers; Avoid single hole overload heating of large volume liquids.
Fault 3: Abnormal or large deviation in infrared temperature measurement display
Reason: The temperature measurement window is blocked by liquid or stains, the emissivity setting is incorrect, the sample color is affected (dark color absorbs heat strongly), or the sensor drifts.
Solution: Keep the glass panel clean and dry; Adjust the emissivity according to the container material (usually set to 0.95 for glass); Avoid directly measuring the liquid level in reflective or transparent containers; Regularly calibrate with a standard thermometer.
Fault 4: Multi channel operation is not synchronized or interferes with each other
Reason: Power fluctuation, electromagnetic interference, or controller program disorder.
Solution: Use a regulated power supply; Avoid sharing sockets with other high-power devices; Restart the device and restore factory settings; Check whether the independent control of each channel is normal.
Fault 5: The equipment emits abnormal noise or obvious vibration
Reason: Stirring of the mixer, unstable container placement, internal fan malfunction, or worn motor bearings.
Solution: Reduce the speed to avoid "spinning"; Ensure that the container is fixed; Clean the dust from the cooling fan; If the noise comes from inside, professional maintenance is required.
