Metallographic grinding and polishing machine is a device used for surface treatment of materials, mainly for the preparation process of metallographic specimens. It uses abrasives to perform multi-stage processing such as rough grinding, fine grinding, and polishing on the surface of the specimen to reduce surface roughness and achieve ideal flatness and smoothness.
By driving the grinding disc to rotate with an electric motor, the sample is fixed and in contact with the grinding disc. The surface of the sample is ground and polished using the action of grinding material or polishing solution. During grinding, coarse-grained grinding materials remove impurities, oxide layers, etc. from the surface of the sample, making the surface initially flat; When polishing, use polishing solution to further reduce surface roughness and achieve a mirror effect.
