Hard tissue grinding machine is an essential tool in pathology, biology, and medical research, used to prepare thin slices of hard tissue samples such as teeth and bones for observation and analysis under a microscope.
The basic working principle of hard tissue grinding machine:
(1) Mechanical cutting principle
Mainly cutting hard tissue samples through high-speed rotating cutting blades. Cutting blades are usually made of hard materials such as diamond, which have high hardness and wear resistance. When the cutting blade rotates at high speed, it comes into contact with the surface of the hard tissue sample and gradually cuts the sample into thin slices through friction and cutting force.
(2) Cooling and lubrication system
During the cutting process, due to the high hardness of hard tissue samples, a large amount of heat is generated during cutting. To ensure cutting effectiveness and prevent sample overheating and damage, cooling and lubrication systems are usually equipped. The system cools and lubricates the cutting area by spraying coolant, such as water or physiological saline, to reduce cutting temperature, decrease cutting resistance, and flush away debris generated during cutting, keeping the cutting surface clean.
(3) Feed and pressure control
The hard tissue grinding machine controls the feed speed and pressure of the sample to the cutting blade through an accurate feed mechanism. Reasonable adjustment of feed rate and pressure is crucial for obtaining high-quality sheets. If the feed rate is too fast or the pressure is too high, it may cause damage to the cutting blade, sample breakage, or uneven thickness of the thin sheet; On the contrary, if the feed rate is too slow or the pressure is too low, it will reduce the cutting efficiency. Therefore, it usually has adjustable feed speed and pressure control functions to meet the cutting needs of different samples.
(4) Accuracy and stability guarantee
In order to ensure that the cut thin slices have high precision and good quality, the hard tissue grinding machine adopts a series of high-precision mechanical structures and control systems in its design and manufacturing. For example, the installation and rotation accuracy of the cutting blade is very high, which can ensure the flatness and perpendicularity of the cutting surface; The feed mechanism adopts precision screws or guide rails, which can achieve small feed rates and stable pressure control; At the same time, the overall structural design of the machine is reasonable, with good rigidity and stability, which can effectively reduce vibration and errors and improve cutting accuracy.
