What is an air-cooled chiller unit
Air cooled chiller unit, also known as air-cooled box type industrial chiller unit, adopts air-cooled heat dissipation design. It uses a built-in fan to draw ambient air into the device and dissipate heat through a condenser, thereby reducing system temperature. It does not require an additional water cooling system, and installation and maintenance are relatively easy.
Air cooled chillers are suitable for places with limited space or where sufficient cooling water cannot be provided. However, cooling efficiency is affected by environmental temperature and humidity, so it is typically used in applications with lower heat loads. Each model is equipped with a range of safety features, including motor overload protection, phase loss and phase reversal alarms, antifreeze thermostats, pressure gauges, and more. These chillers exhibit excellent performance and longer service life. Throughout the entire operation cycle, a series of steps based on the fundamental principles of heat exchange are followed. They are particularly suitable for industries that require precise control and regulation of chilled water temperature, allowing for3°Cto50°CAccurately control within its scope, making it an important participant in the modern industrial sector.

working principle
When an air-cooled refrigeration unit is started, the refrigerant absorbs heat from the cooled object in the evaporator and evaporates. The compressor continuously extracts the generated gas from the evaporator and compresses it into high-temperature and high-pressure steam. Then, the refrigerant vapor is sent to the condenser where it exchanges heat with the air. After releasing heat, it condenses into a liquid. After being depressurized by the expansion valve, the liquid refrigerant enters the evaporator where it evaporates again and absorbs heat from the cooled object. Repeat the heat exchange process until the industrial water is cooled to the desired temperature.

Application of chiller
Chillers are widely used in various industrial productions, such as plastics, electronic manufacturing, electroplating, chemical engineering, ultrasonic cooling, and printing. They are used for cooling plastic processing machinery molds, significantly improving the surface smoothness of plastic products, reducing surface defects and internal stress, preventing shrinkage and deformation, facilitating demolding, accelerating product molding, and greatly improving the production efficiency and product quality of plastic molding machines.
