Operation method of pressure sealing tester for plastic containers
Date: 2025-06-17Read: 0
The pressure sealing tester for plastic containers is used to test the sealing performance of plastic containers under pressure, usually used in the packaging industry, especially in the fields of food and pharmaceutical product packaging. This tester can help detect whether the container can maintain a sealed state after pressurization, preventing product leakage or contamination.
Operation Method:
1. Preparation work
Check the instrument: Ensure that all parts of the instrument are intact, especially the sealing ring, pressure device, and pressure gauge.
Check the sample: Prepare the plastic container to be tested, ensuring that the container has no obvious damage or defects.
Check the pressure source: Ensure that the pressure source (such as an air pump or gas cylinder) is working properly and the gas pressure is stable.
2. Install samples
Place the plastic container to be tested into the testing slot, ensuring that the container is securely installed and not easily moved.
According to the structure of the container, ensure that the mouth and sealing parts of the container are in close contact with the sealing system of the testing instrument.
3. Set test parameters
Set the pressurization pressure: According to the testing requirements, set the target pressure for pressurization. Generally speaking, the pressure value should be set according to the design pressure of the container.
Set test time: Set the maintenance time after pressurization, usually from a few seconds to a few minutes, and adjust the specific time according to the material and design requirements of the container.
4. Pressure test
Start the device for pressure testing, and the instrument will inflate the interior of the container through an air pump or gas cylinder, gradually increasing the pressure to the set value.
Sealing test: Observe the pressure gauge in the testing instrument, keep the container at the set pressure, and check if the pressure remains stable. If the pressure does not significantly decrease within the set time, it indicates that the sealing performance of the container is good.
5. Observe the test results
Stability testing: whether there are obvious signs of leakage, deformation, expansion, etc. during the pressurization process of the container.
If the container leaks gas after being pressurized, it indicates that there is a problem with the sealing of the container. The tester will display a decrease in pressure, or there may be sound or gas leakage.
6. Pressure relief and sampling
Once the test is completed, the pressure relief device will help safely release the pressure inside the container.
Be careful when removing the container to avoid causing secondary damage to it.
Check the appearance of the container to ensure there are no signs of damage or leakage.
7. Cleaning and maintenance
After use, clean the instrument in a timely manner, especially the sealing components and testing slots, to avoid residue affecting the next use.
Regularly inspect components such as sealing rings, pressurization systems, and sensors to ensure proper operation of the equipment.
8. Record and analyze data
Instruments usually automatically record test results, including test pressure, test time, and whether the test passed. When necessary, the report can be exported through a computer or printer.
Based on the test results, determine whether the container meets the standards and whether improvement or material replacement is needed.
Notes:
When conducting pressure testing, it is necessary to ensure that the material and design of the container can withstand the predetermined pressure to avoid container rupture.
For some special material containers (such as glass or brittle plastic containers), it is necessary to ensure that the pressure does not exceed their bearing capacity to avoid danger during the testing process.
Proper protective equipment should be worn during operation, especially when testing high-pressure vessels, to prevent container rupture and injury.
