Austria TEADIT 2007 Expanded PTFE Graphite Disk RootsIt is a high-performance sealing material made by combining TEADIT's EG8G-S polytetrafluoroethylene/graphite yarn with high-temperature running in lubricant. It has chemical corrosion resistance, heat dissipation, and high shaft speed performance, and is suitable for sealing equipment such as pumps, valves, and rotating shafts under extreme working conditions.
1、 Core Material and Structure
Basic yarn: EG8G-S expanded polytetrafluoroethylene (PTFE) yarn is used, with small pure graphite particles wrapped inside. PTFE provides chemical corrosion resistance, while graphite enhances heat dissipation performance.
Lubricant: Add high-temperature running in lubricant to reduce friction coefficient and improve operational stability.
Weaving process: The interlocking weaving structure ensures that the filler tightly adheres to the shaft surface, preventing leakage.
2、 Performance parameters
Temperature range: -200 ℃ to+280 ℃, suitable for extreme high or low temperature environments.
Pressure bearing:
Static pressure: 200bar
Rotating equipment: 35bar
Reciprocating equipment: 100bar
Chemical stability: It is chemically inert within the pH range of 0-14, but strong oxidants such as molten alkali metals, powdery substances, fuming nitric acid, aqua regia, etc. should be avoided.
Shaft speed: Due to the lubrication characteristics of graphite, the shaft speed is higher than that of traditional pure PTFE packing.
3、 Application scenarios
Equipment types: pump, valve, rotating shaft, reciprocating shaft, mixer, agitator.
Working condition requirements:
Environment with surface velocity or temperature higher than pure PTFE packing.
Sealing scenarios with high requirements for corrosion resistance and heat dissipation.
Typical industries: chemical, petroleum, power, pharmaceutical, food processing, etc.
4、 Advantage analysis
Corrosion resistance: PTFE substrate resists most acids, bases, salts, and organic solvents, and graphite particles further enhance chemical stability.
Heat dissipation performance: Graphite has excellent thermal conductivity, effectively reducing equipment operating temperature and extending service life.
High speed adaptation: Lubricant and graphite work together to reduce friction and support higher shaft speeds.
Sealing reliability: The interlocking woven structure tightly adheres to the shaft surface to prevent leakage, especially suitable for high-pressure environments.
5、 Compared to other products
Pure PTFE filler: TEADIT 2007 has better heat dissipation and shaft speed due to the addition of graphite, but strong oxidants should be avoided.
Traditional asbestos filler: TEADIT 2007 has no asbestos components, is more environmentally friendly, and has stronger corrosion resistance.
Other expanded PTFE products, such as TEADIT Style 2005 FDA series and TEADIT 2007, perform more outstandingly under high pressure conditions.
6、 Precautions for use
Media compatibility: Before use, it is necessary to confirm that the media does not contain prohibited substances such as molten alkali metals and strong oxidants.
Installation specifications: The pre tightening force of the packing should be adjusted according to the equipment requirements to avoid wear caused by over tightening or leakage caused by over loosening.
Regular inspection: Under high temperature or high pressure conditions, it is necessary to regularly check the wear of the packing and replace it in a timely manner.
