RFID (Radio Frequency Identification) is a wireless communication technology that can identify designated targets and read/write related data through radio signals without the need for mechanical or optical contact. The RFID system mainly consists of three parts: tags, readers, and antennas.
The workflow of RFID smart cabinet:
1. Tag attachment: Attach RFID tags to items that need to be managed, which store relevant information about the item, such as item number, name, specifications, etc. These pieces of information can be read-only or read-write, depending on the application scenario.
2. Signal transmission and reception: When the RFID tag enters the reading range of the smart cabinet, the tag will be activated by the reader inside the smart cabinet. The reader emits radio frequency signals through the antenna, and after the tag receives the signal, it reflects the stored data back to the reader in the form of radio frequency signals.
3. Data processing and recognition: After receiving the signal returned by the tag, the reader decodes and processes it. The reader sends the decoded data to the control system of the smart cabinet, which identifies and verifies the items represented by the tags based on pre-set programs and information in the database.
4. Cabinet door control and recording: If the item is legal, the control system will drive the cabinet door opening mechanism of the smart cabinet, allowing users to access the item. At the same time, the system will record the relevant information of this access operation, such as time, operator, item information, etc., for subsequent query and management.
The powerful management function of RFID smart cabinet:
1. Real time inventory management: Through RFID technology, smart cabinets can obtain real-time access status and inventory quantity of items. Management personnel can understand the situation of items in the cabinet at any time, and carry out replenishment, inventory and other operations in a timely manner to avoid inventory backlog or shortage.
2. Traceability and Query: The system records every access operation information of the item, including time, operator, item flow, etc., making it easy to trace and query the usage history of the item. When investigating situations such as lost or damaged items, it is possible to quickly locate the problematic link.
