Record the stretching length at this time, which is the ductility of the asphalt.

1. Environmental requirements: The instrument should be placed horizontally in an environment with room temperature of 0-40 ℃, relative humidity of ≤ 80%, no vibration, and no corrosive gases, and ensure good grounding.

2. Water level control: Before the experiment, check the water level in the tank to ensure that the distance between the water surface and the surface of the specimen is not less than 25mm.

3. Temperature stability: During the experiment, the water temperature should be constant to avoid vibration or water flow shaking that may affect the results.

4. Sample adjustment: If the asphalt filament floats on the water surface or sinks to the bottom of the groove, alcohol or salt should be added to adjust the density of the water to be similar to the sample before retesting.

5. Maintenance: After the test is completed, add an appropriate amount of engine oil to the transmission parts and gears to prevent rust; When not in use for a long time, cover the instrument with a dust cover.
