Extend equipment lifespan, complete guide for maintaining residual oxygen meters in drug packaging!
Date: 2025-12-17Read: 1
Drug packaging residual oxygen analyzerIt is an instrument used to detect residual oxygen content in drug packaging. During the packaging process of drugs, residual oxygen can affect the quality and stability of the drugs, and may lead to drug deterioration or failure. Therefore, accurate detection of residual oxygen content in drug packaging is crucial. The working principle is to use electrochemical sensing technology to determine the presence and content of oxygen by measuring the potential changes on the electrode surface. This instrument has the advantages of high sensitivity, fast response, and high accuracy, and can be widely used in industries such as pharmaceuticals, food, beverages, cosmetics, etc.
Drug packaging residual oxygen analyzerThe maintenance points are as follows:
1、 Daily cleaning and pollution prevention
surface cleaning
Wipe the surface of the instrument with a soft, dry, or slightly damp cloth, avoiding the use of solvents or corrosive cleaning agents to prevent damage to the housing or sensor.
Regularly clean the ventilation openings of the instrument to prevent dust accumulation from affecting heat dissipation and performance.
Sensor maintenance
Sensors are core components that need to be regularly cleaned with specialized cleaning tools (such as soft brushes or specialized cotton swabs) to avoid residual sample gases or impurities interfering with measurements.
If the sensor has come into contact with oily or corrosive samples, it should be cleaned and dried immediately, and replaced if necessary.
Needle and Filter Management
Needle: Replace once a year. If there is any bending, blunting or blockage of the needle tip, it should be replaced immediately. After each test, use the accompanying steel wire to clear the needle and ensure smooth flow of the sample gas.
Filter: Only use clean and pollution-free filters. Contaminated filters can hinder the passage of sample gas, resulting in measurement errors. Suggest monthly inspection and replacement.
2、 Regular calibration and verification
calibration cycle
It is recommended to calibrate once a month, which can be adjusted according to the frequency of use and environmental conditions. High precision demand scenarios (such as drug production) require a shorter calibration cycle.
calibration method
Two point calibration: Use standard gas (such as nitrogen with a purity of ≥ 99.9% or air containing 20.9% oxygen) for zero point (0% oxygen content) and range (20.9% oxygen content) calibration.
Operation steps: Connect the standard gas to the instrument inlet, follow the on-screen prompts to complete the operation until the displayed value is consistent with the concentration of the standard gas.
performance verification
If the reading remains stable within the range of 20.9% ± 1% during testing in a ventilated area, it indicates that the instrument performance is normal; Otherwise, troubleshooting or recalibration is required.
3、 Consumables replacement and component inspection
Consumables replacement
Protective patch: disposable, needs to be replaced after each test to avoid cross contamination.
Battery: Regularly check the battery level and replace it promptly when the battery is low to prevent data loss or measurement interruption.
Component inspection
Sealing element: Check the sealing of the instrument connection parts (such as the air inlet and sampling needle) to prevent measurement deviation caused by air leakage.
Circuit system: Regularly check for loose or damaged power cords and interfaces to ensure stable power supply.
4、 Storage and transportation precautions
Long term shutdown storage
Evacuate the pipeline gas, cut off the power for storage, and cover it with a dust cover to prevent dust and moisture from entering.
The storage environment should be dry, ventilated, and avoid drastic temperature changes or direct sunlight.
Transportation protection
During transportation, use specialized packaging boxes to secure instruments and fill them with cushioning materials to prevent damage to precision components from impact or vibration.
Avoid inverted or tilted transportation to prevent liquid leakage or component displacement.
5、 Operation standards and safety protection
Pre-operation preparation
Wear gloves and masks to avoid contamination of the sample by hand oil or breathing.
Check the status of the instrument (such as power supply, sensors, calibration records) to ensure normal operation before testing.
Testing process specification
Sample preparation must comply with standards (such as ampoules that need to be clean and undamaged) to ensure good sealing.
Maintain instrument stability during testing and avoid external interference such as vibration and temperature changes.
safety protection
Wear protective goggles and cut resistant gloves when breaking ampoules to prevent glass splashes from injuring people.
When detecting flammable substances (such as hydrogen), ensure that the instrument has explosion-proof certification and operates in a ventilated environment.
6、 Troubleshooting and Emergency Response
Common Faults
Slow reading: Replace the needle and filter first. If the problem persists, contact the manufacturer for repair.
Data abnormality: Check the calibration status, sample sealing, and if necessary, retest or adjust production parameters (such as sealing gas purity).
emergency response
If the instrument comes into contact with water or corrosive substances, immediately cut off the power and contact professional personnel for handling to avoid secondary damage.
If any abnormal sound or odor occurs during the testing process, immediately stop the testing and investigate the cause.
