Sample preparation: Prepare a certain number of test samples according to relevant standard requirements. The size, shape, and cut length of the sample should comply with the standard requirements, and the edges of the sample should be neat and undamaged.

Instrument connection and preheating: Connect the instrument correctly to the power supply, gas source, or other external devices according to the instructions. Turn on the power switch of the instrument and allow the system to warm up for a period of time to ensure stable performance of the instrument.

Parameter setting: Enter the instrument's operating interface or control system to set the relevant parameters for the experiment.

Sample installation: Open the clamp or fixture of the instrument, clamp one end of the sample onto the fixed clamp of the instrument, and clamp the other end onto the movable clamp. Please ensure that the sample is tightly clamped and the bottom edge is in complete contact and aligned with the bottom of the clamp. The side edges of the sample should be neat.

Cutting edge: Use the cutting blade or cutting device equipped with the instrument to cut a neat edge on the sample. When cutting, ensure that the length and depth of the blade meet the standard requirements.

Start testing: After confirming that the various parameter settings of the instrument and the installation of the sample are correct, begin testing. Pressing the test button or starting the test program, the pendulum or moving parts will apply a tearing force to the specimen, and the instrument will record and display the force value changes during the tearing process in real time.

Reading result: When the sample is torn, the instrument will automatically stop the test and display the force required to tear the sample, that is, the tearing degree. Read and record the test results, including the magnitude, average value, standard deviation, and other data of the tearing force.

Cleaning and maintenance: After the test is completed, remove the sample, clean the clamp, cutter, and workbench of the instrument, and keep the instrument clean. Turn off the power of the instrument, disconnect external devices, and store the instrument properly.
