The structural composition of a stereomicroscope
Date: 2025-11-24Read: 2
StereomicroscopeObserve the sample from different angles through two independent optical paths to simulate human eye disparity. The left and right eyepieces image separately, and the brain fuses the images from these two perspectives to form a stereoscopic image with depth, depth, and surface texture. Widely used in fields such as biological anatomy, material testing, precision manufacturing, and electronic maintenance.

StereomicroscopeStereoscopic imaging is achieved through a binocular tube and a dual objective system, with the core structure including:

1Dual light path system:

Two independent optical channels (left and right eyepieces) transmit the left and right images of the sample to the human eye through the objective lens and prism, creating a visual difference and creating a sense of three dimensionality.

Prism deflects light to ensure correct alignment of left and right images in the eyepiece.

2Variable magnification ratio and working distance:

The zoom ratio is usually0.7X-6.5XOr higher, the magnification can be continuously adjusted by rotating the zoom knob.

The working distance (the distance from the objective lens to the sample) is relatively long, making it easy to operate large or irregular samples.

3Light source system:

Equipped with a circular shapeLEDLight source or dual light source (upper light source)+Provide uniform illumination, reduce shadows, and adapt to different observation needs (such as transparent samples requiring transmitted light and opaque samples requiring reflected light).

Daily maintenance:

Regularly clean the objective lens and eyepiece (using specialized lens cleaning paper) to avoid scratches or contamination.

Avoid severe vibrations or collisions to prevent optical components from shifting or being damaged.
