Tips for cleaning metallographic microscopes
metallographic microscopeIt is a high-tech product developed by combining optical microscopy technology, photoelectric conversion technology, and computer image processing technology. Metallographic microscope can conveniently observe metallographic images on a computer, enabling analysis, grading, and output/printing of metallographic spectra. *The composition, heat treatment process, and cold and hot processing technology of alloys directly affect the internal structure and structural changes of metal materials, thereby causing changes in the mechanical properties of parts. Therefore, use
metallographic microscopeObserving, inspecting, and analyzing the internal structure of metals is an important means in industrial production. Metallographic microscope is mainly composed of optical system, illumination system, mechanical system, and accessory devices (including photography or other devices such as microhardness). Based on the light reflection characteristics of different structural components on the surface of metal samples, optical studies were conducted using a metallographic microscope in the visible light range to qualitatively and quantitatively describe these structural components.
The use of metallographic microscopes is considered the most common, but maintenance of metallographic equipment can sometimes be costly. In fact, cleaning metallographic microscopes is very convenient, and the methods are as follows:
When cleaning various glass components, gently wipe them with gauze to remove fingerprints or oil stains. Use a small amount of ether (70%) and alcohol (30%) mixed solution to wet the gauze and wipe it;
2. Do not splash any liquid onto the microscope. If it splashes, immediately dispose of itmetallographic microscopeTurn the main switch to "O", unplug the power cord, and then wipe off any liquid splashed onto or under the objective lens;
3. Do not use organic solvents to wipe non optical parts of the microscope. If you want to clean these parts, please use a lint free soft cloth dipped in a small amount of neutral detergent to wipe them;
If the objective lens is not installed, be sure to cover the installation screw hole on the objective lens converter to prevent dust and splashed tissue culture medium from entering the inside of the lens;
5. When not using a metallographic microscope, please cover it with a dust cover. Before covering the metallographic microscope, be sure to wait for the lamp holder to fully cool down;
6. Do not disassemble any part of the metallographic microscope, as this may result in reduced performance or functional failure;
7. Using equipment that can emit ultraviolet radiation near the metallographic microscope may cause discoloration of the colored parts (yellow) on the surface of the metallographic microscope, avoiding direct contact between the metallographic microscope and it.
