In the reliability testing of electronic components, automotive parts, aerospace materials, and metal products, a two box basket type high and low temperature impact box is used as a "hot and cold basket transition" test bench to simulate rapid temperature changes. By switching the sample between high and low temperature zones at high speed (usually ≤ 10 seconds), the structural stability, sealing performance, and functional reliability of the product under severe thermal stress are evaluated.
The two box basket style high and low temperature impact box often encounters problems such as temperature deviation, basket jamming, and severe frosting during high-frequency and high load operation. Mastering the diagnosis and solution methods of common faults is the key to ensuring the effectiveness of experiments and equipment stability.

Problem 1: The temperature cannot reach the set value or the uniformity exceeds the standard
Reason: refrigerant leakage, heating tube malfunction, abnormal circulation fan, sensor drift, or poor sealing of the box door.
Solution: Check the operating status of the compressor and whether there are any oil stains (signs of leakage) in the pipeline; Test the resistance of the heating element; Clean up the dust accumulation in the fan to ensure smooth air ducts; Calibrate temperature sensors for high and low temperature zones; Check whether the insulation sealing strip is aging or deformed, and replace it in a timely manner.
Problem 2: The lifting of the basket is stuck or not synchronized
Reason: Insufficient lubrication of the guide rod, loose transmission chain/belt, motor malfunction or limit switch failure.
Solution: Regularly add high-temperature lubricating grease to the basket guide rail and bearings; Check and tighten the transmission mechanism; Confirm that the servo or stepper motor is running smoothly; Clean and adjust the position of the upper and lower limit photoelectric switches to ensure accurate signals.
Problem 3: Severe frosting or incomplete defrosting in low-temperature areas
Reason: The humidity of the test sample is too high, the door is opened frequently, the door seal is not tight, or the defrosting heater is malfunctioning.
Solution: Ensure that the sample is dry and avoid introducing moisture; Reduce the number of door openings during the experiment; Check the sealing of the door seal; Set a reasonable defrosting cycle, check whether the defrosting heating pipe and drainage pipe are unobstructed, and prevent ice blockage.
Problem 4: Long conversion time or insufficient impact rate
Reason: The lifting speed of the basket slows down, the temperature in the high and low temperature zones does not reach steady state, or the thermal radiation barrier fails.
Solution: Check if the driving parameters of the lifting system are normal; Ensure that the high and low temperature zones have stabilized at the target temperature before the basket is moved (usually maintained for more than 15 minutes); Check if the insulation curtains or air sealing devices around the basket are intact to reduce heat exchange delays.
Problem 5: Control system alarm or communication interruption
Reason: PLC program abnormality, sensor signal loss, power fluctuation, or loose communication line.
Solution: Check the alarm codes (such as E01 overheating, E02 overpressure); Check if the wiring of each sensor is secure; Use a regulated power supply; Re plug and unplug the RS485 or Ethernet cable to ensure a reliable connection.
