Efficient environmental governance: exploring the diverse applications of fully automatic blowing and capturing devices!
Date: 2025-12-18Read: 0
Fully automatic blowing and capturing deviceIt is an advanced sample pretreatment equipment widely used in environmental monitoring, food safety, pharmaceutical research and development, and other fields. Its core function is to efficiently extract and concentrate volatile or semi volatile organic compounds in samples through blowing and trapping techniques, providing highly sensitive and accurate samples for subsequent analysis.
This device is based on dynamic headspace technology, using helium or nitrogen as the purge gas to continuously release volatile components from the liquid or solid phase of the sample through a continuous gas flow, and transfer them to a capture device equipped with an adsorbent for concentration. Its workflow includes five stages: sample preparation, blowing, trapping, thermal desorption, and chromatographic analysis: blowing gas is introduced into the sample at a specific flow rate to disrupt gas-liquid equilibrium and release volatile components; Capture devices enrich target compounds through adsorbents or cold traps; The thermal desorption stage decomposes and desorbs the captured components through heating, and then enters the gas chromatograph (GC) or mass spectrometer (MS) with the carrier gas for qualitative and quantitative analysis.
Fully automatic blowing and capturing deviceScope of application:
1. Environmental monitoring
Water analysis: The blowdown capture container can be used to detect volatile organic compounds (VOCs) in drinking water, wastewater, groundwater, and seawater, such as trihalomethanes (THMs), benzene derivatives (such as benzene and toluene), chlorinated hydrocarbons, and other disinfection by-products and industrial pollutants, in accordance with the EPA 500/600 series standards. At the same time, it can also analyze petroleum hydrocarbons (BTEX), volatile organic sulfides (such as dimethyl sulfide), etc., for pollution source tracking and treatment assessment.
Soil analysis: This device can detect volatile pollutants in soil, such as pesticide residues (such as fumigant methyl bromide), industrial solvents (carbon tetrachloride), etc., supporting soil remediation projects.
Atmospheric analysis: By capturing with adsorption tubes and combining with blowing capture technology, the blowing capture device can determine trace VOCs in the atmosphere, such as formaldehyde.
2. Food safety
Flavor and Odor Analysis: The blow and capture container can be used to analyze volatile aroma components (esters, aldehydes) in alcoholic beverages and dairy products, as well as odor substances such as geosmin and 2-methylisoborneol (MIB) in aquatic products. In addition, it can also detect sulfides (dimethyl disulfide) produced by food spoilage.
Residual solvent detection: This device complies with the ICH Q3C guidelines and can detect Class 1/Class 2 solvent residues such as methanol and acetone in food.
Food packaging material testing: The blowing and catching container can be used to detect migration in food packaging materials to ensure food safety.
3. Petrochemical industry
Petroleum product analysis: In the petroleum and natural gas industry, blowdown capture devices are used to determine volatile organic compounds such as methane, ethane, propane, butane, as well as some organic sulfides and nitrides in natural gas and petroleum products.
Analysis of reaction intermediates or by-products: This device can also be used for online purge analysis of reaction intermediates or by-products, such as ethylene oxide.
4. Pharmaceuticals and Cosmetics
Raw material testing: The blowing and capturing device can detect residual organic solvents in raw materials, which meets the ICH Q3C standard.
Cosmetics testing: This device can be used to detect harmful substances in cosmetics to ensure product quality and safety.
5. Medical and Clinical Chemistry
Biological sample analysis: The blowdown capture container can be used to separate and determine volatile organic compounds such as ethanol, benzene, phenols, etc. in biological samples such as blood, urine, saliva, etc. These compounds may be associated with certain diseases or poisoning, and are of great significance for the diagnosis and treatment of diseases.
6. Materials Science
Research on Polymer Materials: The blow sweep capture container can be used to study volatile organic compounds in polymer materials, which may be residual solvents, additives, or by-products formed during the material preparation process. By detecting these volatile organic compounds, the properties and preparation process of the materials can be understood.
Research on Ceramic Materials: This device can also be used for detecting volatile organic compounds in ceramic materials, providing strong support for materials science research.
7. Agricultural Products and Food
Agricultural product testing: The blowing and catching container can be used to determine volatile organic compounds such as alcohols, esters, ketones, etc. in grains, fruits, vegetables, and other foods. These compounds can serve as indicators of food freshness, maturity, etc., and are of great significance for the quality evaluation and storage preservation of agricultural products.
