The DBP absorption value and the DBP absorption value of compressed samples are two indicators that reflect the structure and structure of carbon black. Among them, the DBP absorption value of compressed samples has a stronger correlation with the properties of rubber materials. The reason is that carbon atoms in carbon black do not exist in the form of atoms, but rather many atoms cluster together to form chain like aggregates, which we call primary structures or primary structures; By relying on the intermolecular forces between primary structures, aggregates attract each other to form larger polymer clusters, which we call secondary structures. The secondary structure is unstable and will be destroyed during the processing of the rubber material, so the final form of carbon black in the rubber material is a primary structure. The DBP absorption value measures the structural index of carbon black in its natural state, that is, the coexistence of primary and secondary structures. The DBP absorption value of compressed samples is the structural index of carbon black obtained after the secondary structure of carbon black is completely destroyed into a primary structure by high pressure. Therefore, it can better reflect the structural state of carbon black in the rubber compound, and obviously has a stronger correlation with the performance of the rubber compound. Reducing energy consumption and heat generation during the mixing process has improved the processing performance of the rubber material. The void volume of carbon black is directly related to its structure. Carbon black with high structure has a larger void volume, while carbon black with low structure has a smaller void volume. The structure of carbon black is one of its important properties, and the height of the structure directly affects the processing performance of the rubber compound, the mechanical properties and conductivity of the vulcanized rubber.
