Regular maintenance of vacuum brazing furnaces is particularly important
Date: 2025-09-18Read: 0
vacuum brazing furnaceIt is a high equipment for brazing processing in a vacuum environment, widely used in the connection and repair of metal materials, especially in industries that require high welding quality, such as aerospace, automotive manufacturing, electronic equipment, and other fields. Using low-temperature and high-temperature heating in a vacuum environment to bring metal materials to their melting point and achieve welding. It not only effectively protects the surface of materials, but also ensures welding quality and stability, making it an important equipment in modern metal processing.
The working principle of a vacuum brazing furnace mainly depends on its vacuum system and heating system. The vacuum system works in coordination with pump groups (including mechanical pumps, maintenance pumps, Roots pumps, diffusion pumps, etc.) and control valves (such as front-end valves, bypass valves, maintenance pump valves, high valves, etc.) to pump the furnace to the required vacuum level. The heating system utilizes high-precision temperature control instruments and partitioned heaters to achieve precise control and uniform distribution of temperature inside the furnace. Under the combined action of vacuum and heating, metal materials reach their melting point and undergo welding.
  vacuum brazing furnaceRegular maintenance:
1. Vacuum pump maintenance:
Mechanical pump: Replace the vacuum pump oil every 500-1000 hours of operation or 3-6 months; Check and clean the intake filter screen; Replace the oil mist separator if necessary.
Diffusion pump/molecular pump: Replace the diffusion pump oil according to the manufacturer's specified cycle (usually 1-2 years); Check the condition and cooling of the molecular pump bearings.
2. Vacuum leak detection:
Conduct a static pressure rise rate test every 3-6 months to evaluate the vacuum sealing performance of the furnace body. If the leakage rate exceeds the standard, a helium mass spectrometer leak detector should be used to locate the leakage point and repair it (such as replacing the sealing ring, repairing the weld seam, etc.).
3. Heating system maintenance:
Measure the resistance value of the heating element, compare it with the initial value, and determine the degree of aging.
Clean the carbon or oxide deposits on the surface of the heating element (using specialized tools to avoid damage).
Check if all electrical connection points (copper bars, bolts) are securely fastened and if there are any signs of oxidation or overheating.
4. Cooling system maintenance:
Clean the cooling tower or cooling fins.
Check and clean the water filter.
Check the quality of cooling water and add anti scaling, anti-corrosion agents or replace softened water if necessary.
5. Electrical system maintenance:
Tighten all electrical wiring terminals.
Check whether the contacts of the relay and contactor are burned.
Calibrate temperature sensors (thermocouples) and vacuum gauges (at least once a year).
6. Deep cleaning of furnace:
Dismantle detachable components (such as shelves and some heat shields) and use a vacuum cleaner or specialized tool to thoroughly remove carbon deposits and dust.
Wipe with alcohol or specialized cleaning agents if necessary (avoid using chlorine containing solvents).
