Square culture medium bottleIt is a commonly used experimental container in fields such as biology and medicine, mainly used for storing and transporting liquid such as cell culture medium and serum.
Design features:
1. Shape advantage
High space utilization: The square bottle body can be tightly arranged, saving space in refrigerators, incubators, or ultra clean workbenches, especially suitable for large-scale cultivation or long-term storage.
Strong stability: The bottom flat design reduces the risk of tipping and is easy to fix on the shaker or oscillator, reducing the splashing of culture solution.
Convenient sampling: The right angled edge design makes it easier to position the pipette or straw, reducing operational errors.
2. Material and Craftsmanship
Transparent polypropylene (PP): mainstream material, resistant to chemical corrosion, can withstand high-pressure steam sterilization at 121 ℃, suitable for most cell culture and microbial experiments.
High transparency: Some models use optical grade PP to ensure clear and visible color and cell morphology of the culture medium, making it easy to observe.
No pyrogen/DNase/RNase: meets biosafety standards and avoids contamination risks.
3. Structural details
Threaded bottle mouth: The standard threaded design ensures sealing and prevents contamination and evaporation.
Breathable membrane/filter membrane: Optional 0.22 μ m or 0.45 μ m hydrophobic filter membrane, balancing gas exchange and sterility requirements, suitable for suspension cell culture.
Scale line: The bottle body is printed with accurate scales, making it easy to quickly measure the volume of the culture medium.
Square culture medium bottleApplication scenarios:
1. Cell culture
Adhesive cells: The square bottle has a flat bottom, suitable for the growth of adhesive cells, and is matched with a breathable membrane to achieve gas exchange.
Suspension cells: Large capacity square bottles combined with magnetic stirring or shaking tables are used for large-scale suspension cell expansion.
2. Microbial fermentation
Bacterial/fungal culture: PP material resistant to high-pressure sterilization is suitable for high-density fermentation of microorganisms such as Escherichia coli and yeast.
Anaerobic cultivation: Used for static cultivation of anaerobic bacteria such as clostridia, in conjunction with sealed caps and anaerobic bags.
3. Sample storage and transportation
Short term storage: Store culture medium, serum, or cell suspension in a refrigerator at 4 ℃, with a square design to reduce space waste.
Long term freezing: Store cell banks or precious samples in a -80 ℃ ultra-low temperature refrigerator, and some models support direct contact with liquid nitrogen.
