Introduction to wide mouth reagent bottles

  Wide mouth reagent bottleThe diameter of the bottle mouth is significantly larger than that of a regular reagent bottle, and it is usually treated with a frosted finish, which fits tightly with a glass frosted stopper or rubber stopper to ensure sealing. This design facilitates the quick retrieval and placement of solid reagents by experimenters, reduces operating time, and lowers the risk of contamination.
  Wide mouth reagent bottleThe bottle body is generally thick and has a low center of gravity, which can be stably placed on the experimental platform to avoid tipping due to collision or improper operation. Some wide mouthed bottles are also equipped with screw caps or snap on caps to further enhance sealing.
Features:
Bottle mouth design: The wide mouth bottle mouth design is larger, making it easier to access solid reagents. Tools such as spoons and tweezers can be easily placed into the bottle mouth, providing greater operating space and facilitating rapid liquid filling and pouring.
Diverse materials: Common materials include polypropylene (PP) and high-density polyethylene (HDPE). PP material is resistant to high temperature and high pressure, and can be sterilized at a high temperature of 121 ℃ without deformation; HDPE material is resistant to low temperatures and can be frozen at -20 ℃ or -80 ℃, both of which have excellent chemical corrosion resistance.
Available in two colors: colorless and brown. Colorless wide mouthed reagent bottles are suitable for storing reagents that are not easily decomposed when exposed to light. Brown wide mouthed reagent bottles have excellent light avoidance properties and can be used to store photosensitive substances such as silver nitrate.
Good sealing performance: The bottle cap usually adopts a spiral design, and some bottle mouths have anti leakage structures, which can effectively prevent the reagents inside the bottle from deteriorating due to contact with air, and also prevent reagent leakage after pouring.
Sealing and moisture resistance:
After taking the reagent, the bottle stopper should be placed upside down on the table to avoid contaminating the reagent or the table.
The bottle cap must be tightly closed to prevent reagent evaporation or external impurities from entering. Some wide mouthed bottles adopt a spiral without gasket design, which ensures smooth rotation and good sealing.
