In situ freeze-drying machines use refrigeration technology for drying, which can save more than half of energy costs. In addition, due to the lack of high-temperature heating and relatively low energy consumption of the equipment, it can process multiple samples simultaneously and has a high yield. Moreover, the use of uniform heating and low-temperature freezing techniques can ensure good and stable product quality. After pre freezing, the moisture in the material exists in the form of ice crystals, and the inorganic salts dissolved in the water are evenly distributed in the material. During the sublimation process, dissolved substances will precipitate, avoiding the surface hardening phenomenon caused by the migration of internal moisture to the surface in general drying methods.
Advantages of in-situ freeze dryer:
1. Protection of heat sensitive substances: As the entire drying process is carried out at low temperatures, it is particularly suitable for handling heat sensitive substances such as biological products, vaccines, antibodies, etc., which can avoid denaturation or degradation caused by high temperatures and maintain their biological activity and structural integrity.
2. Preserve microstructure and composition: In situ freeze-drying technology can effectively maintain the microstructure and original morphology of the sample without collapse or shrinkage. This is particularly important for samples that require maintaining specific structures, such as cells, tissues, or other porous materials.
3. Efficient redissolution: The dried product appears loose and porous, and can quickly and quickly dissolve when water is added, almost immediately returning to its original state. This feature makes freeze-dried products easy to reuse after storage and transportation.
4. Preventing oxidation and pollution: Due to the drying process being carried out in a vacuum environment with extremely low oxygen content, it can effectively protect easily oxidizable substances from damage. At the same time, the design of a closed system also reduces the chance of contact with air and lowers the risk of pollution.
5. Easy to operate and high safety: The operation of the in-situ freeze-drying machine is relatively simple and easy to master. Moreover, due to the high degree of automation in the entire process, errors and safety hazards caused by human factors are reduced.
Measurement steps of in-situ freeze dryer:
1. Sample preparation and loading
-Uniform placement of materials: Place the materials to be processed evenly on the shelves of the equipment, ensuring appropriate thickness and uniform distribution to ensure consistency in freeze-drying effect. Due to the cooling and heating functions of the shelf of the in-situ freeze dryer, proper placement can help improve drying efficiency.
2. Power on and login to the system
-Power on: After placing the materials, turn on the key switch and the device will automatically enter the login screen.
-Enter password to enter the main interface: Enter the login password on the login screen, and the system will automatically enter the main screen.
3. Set process parameters
-Select freeze-drying process and set parameters: Click on "Freeze Drying Process" in the system menu, and set the freeze-drying process parameters according to the customer's actual needs, including temperature, vacuum degree, etc. The adjustment of vacuum degree is completed through the setting parameters of freeze-drying process.
-Confirm valve status: Confirm that the box door, intake and drainage valves are closed.
4. Start the device to run
-Select control mode and temperature slope mode: Enter the operation screen and select the appropriate control mode and temperature slope mode.
-Start primary and secondary machines: Click on the primary machine to start, and the secondary machine will automatically start when the conditions are met. Then click on 'Auto Start', and the system will start automatic freeze-drying.
-Start the vacuum pump (if applicable): When the vacuum pump conditions are met, automatically start or manually operate the vacuum pump to achieve the desired vacuum environment. For example, the probe can be placed on any layer of material tray, covered with a glass cover, the drainage and inflation valve can be tightened, and the "vacuum gauge" button on the screen can be clicked. When the vacuum degree displayed on the screen is 110kPa, the "vacuum pump" button can be clicked to start the vacuum pump; When the vacuum degree drops to ≤ 10Pa, subsequent operations can be carried out.
