Guidelines for Maintenance and Replacement of Common Vulnerable Components in Pen Conductivity Meters

Pen type conductivity meters are widely used in fields such as water quality detection, agricultural irrigation, aquaculture, and environmental monitoring due to their portability, easy operation, and fast response. However, during long-term use, some key components are prone to aging and damage due to frequent contact with water samples or environmental influences, which affects measurement accuracy and instrument lifespan. Therefore, it is particularly important to understand the maintenance and replacement methods of its common vulnerable components.
1、 Conductivity probe: The core components need to be cleaned regularly

It is recommended to check the condition of the sealing ring every six months. If there is any damage, the original parts should be replaced in a timely manner to prevent moisture from entering the instrument and causing malfunctions.
4、 Display screen and buttons: pay attention to moisture prevention and cleaning
LCD screens and operation buttons are easily damaged electronic components, especially in humid environments where problems such as blurry display and button failure may occur. In daily use, avoid exposing the instrument to high humidity environments for a long time and regularly wipe the surface with a dry cloth. If the buttons are stuck or the screen display is abnormal, you can try removing the shell for drying treatment. If it still cannot be repaired, you need to replace the relevant components.
5、 Calibration standard solution: a key consumable to ensure measurement accuracy
Although not a hardware component, the frequency of use and storage method of standard solution also directly affect the performance of the instrument. Expired or contaminated standard solutions can lead to calibration failure and affect measurement results. It is recommended to store the standard solution according to the instructions, avoid direct sunlight, and use it within its expiration date.
