8On the 23rd and 24th of the month, sponsored by the Institute of Agricultural Quality Standards and Testing Technology, Chinese Academy of Agricultural SciencesRAQSA’2018The National Symposium on Agricultural Product Quality and Safety Risk Assessment was grandly held at Yuehua Hotel in Xiamen, Fujian. The seminar aims to promote the research and development of risk assessment technology for agricultural product quality and safety in China, improve the identification, evaluation, early warning and prevention technology, and management level of agricultural product quality and safety risks. Relevant research institutes, universities, as well as risk assessment, inspection and testing, instrument and equipment research and development institutions actively participate in the seminar, and jointly explore the scientific and technological hotspots in the field of agricultural product quality and safety risk assessment. At the seminar, dozens of experts and scholars disclosed new research achievements in risk rapid screening and identification technology, risk fluctuation and mechanism, risk assessment method models and applications, and agricultural product quality analysis and evaluation.
At the opening ceremony of the seminar, Wang Feijie, Secretary of the Party Committee of the Institute of Agricultural Quality Standards and Testing Technology of the Chinese Academy of Agricultural Sciences, Weng Qiyong, President of the Fujian Academy of Agricultural Sciences, and Li Jieren, Leader of the Discipline Inspection Group of the Chinese Academy of Agricultural Sciences, delivered speeches successively, sending warm wishes for the convening of the seminar, emphasizing the significance of agricultural product quality and safety risk assessment, and looking forward to the future development plan of this field.
After the opening ceremony, the seminar will enter the special presentation section of the conference. Academician Shen Jianzhong, Dean of the School of Veterinary Medicine at China Agricultural University, gave a report titled "Current Status and Challenges of Hazard Factor Detection in Agricultural Products". He first outlined the current situation of agricultural product production and consumption in China, as well as a series of agricultural product safety incidents that have occurred in recent years, pointing out that food safety threats are ubiquitous from farms to dining tables. He analyzed the sources of hazardous factors in agricultural products, common chemical and biological hazards, and the use of pesticides and veterinary drugs in China in his report. In the second part of the report, he introduced the current status of hazard factor detection, compared existing techniques for hazard factor detection, and specifically pointed out the issues of sensitivity, specificity, stability, and matrix interference in rapid hazard factor detection technology. In the third part of the report, he discussed the challenges and trends of hazard factor detection, including a detailed introduction to the development trends of quantitative confirmation detection technology and immune rapid detection technology. Before the end of the report, prospects are made for the detection of hazardous factors in agricultural products, pointing out that the miniaturization of confirmatory analysis instruments, software intelligence, and non target screening are becoming increasingly important; The preparation technology of high-performance antibodies is a hot topic, and the development of antibody evolution technology is receiving attention; The focus is on simple and automated sample processing technology; New marking materials and marking technologies are important development directions; The combination of rapid detection reagents with high-throughput and miniaturized instruments is a development trend; The goal is to detect quickly, frequently, and accurately.
Subsequently, Dr. Qiao Xiongwu, President of Shanxi Academy of Agricultural Sciences, gave a keynote speech titled "Exploration of the Development and Risk Assessment Issues of Pesticide Residue Formulation in China", which discussed the development process of pesticide residue formulation in food, the problems and challenges in the process, and put forward several suggestions for improving the pesticide residue system in China. Li Peiwu, a researcher from the National Agricultural Testing Biotoxin Benchmark Laboratory and the Quality and Safety Risk Assessment Laboratory of Oil Products of the Ministry of Agriculture, gave a keynote speech titled "Preliminary Study on Detection and Early Warning Control of Aflatoxin Pollution in Agricultural Products". He introduced the hazards of aflatoxin pollution, the multiple major technologies and application achievements of his team in the field of aflatoxin pollution detection, and the successful early warning of aflatoxin risks. He also proposed the idea of full process control of aflatoxin pollution in agriculture.
At the "Shimadzu Mass Spectrometry Salon", Manager Jing from Shimadzu Corporation's Analytical Testing Instruments Marketing Department gave a presentation titled "Accompanying You to Experience the Visualization Era of In Situ Molecular Distribution - Imaging Mass Spectrometry Microscope iMScope TRIO". In her presentation, she mentioned that Matrix Assisted Laser Desorption Ionization Time of Flight Mass Spectrometry Imaging (MALDI-TOF Imaging), as a visualization method that intuitively reflects the spatial distribution and changes of molecular level compounds in tissues and organs, has also attracted the attention of many researchers in the fields of agriculture and environment. Shimadzu's Imaging Mass Microscope (iMScope TRIO) features an Atmospheric Pressure Assisted Laser Desorption Ionization (Atmospheric Pressure MALDI) source equipped with a high-resolution optical microscope at the front end, and an ion trap and Time of Flight Tandem Mass Spectrometer (IT-TOF) at the back end. IMScope TRIO is a cutting-edge technology that combines optical and imaging mass spectrometry analysis. It has a world-class 5 μ m high spatial resolution and can perform high-precision MSn structure analysis, providing rich fragment information for the structural analysis of unknown objects, offering a new tool for imaging analysis, and improving research capabilities.
At the Shimadzu Mass Spectrometry Salon, Dr. Pan Chensong from the Marketing Department of Shimadzu Corporation's Analytical Testing Instruments gave a presentation titled "Encountering a New Measurement Platform - High Resolution Quadrupole time-of-flight Mass Spectrometer LCMS-9030". In the presentation, he mentioned that high-resolution liquid chromatography-mass spectrometry (LC-QTOF) with quadrupole time-of-flight mass spectrometry (LC-QTOF) is playing an increasingly important role in high-throughput screening of pesticide residues in the quality and safety risk control of agricultural products. Based on accurate chromatographic retention time, ppm level mass accuracy, true isotope peak shape, and rapid MRM fragment ion detection, LC-QTOF high-throughput screening for pesticide residues has the characteristics of high reliability, sensitivity, and fast high-throughput, as well as the ability to qualitatively identify unknown substances and trace data. Shimadzu LCMS-9030 has the characteristics of good stability, high accuracy, high sensitivity, and fast speed, making it very suitable for high-throughput screening of pesticide residues.
