Recently. The Symposium on Spectroscopy and Related Analysis Technology was held at the Academic Exchange Center of Northeastern University in Shenyang. This conference was jointly organized by Shimadzu Enterprise Management (China) Co., Ltd. and Northeastern University, and is a regional activity carried out by Shimadzu Corporation to promote construction.

The conference kicked off with Vice President Wang Jianhua's opening speech, and Yang Guixiang from the Shimadzu Marketing Department Industry Group delivered a speech on behalf of Shimadzu. This conference was attended by more than 40 experts, teachers, and some students, mainly from universities and research institutes. The content of the conference was rich and substantial, with 20 experts giving presentations. The presentations mainly focused on spectral technology, with biomedical detection and analysis becoming the mainstream. Applications in food, environment, materials, and other fields were also involved. Spectral technology research focused on ICPMS, mostly for morphological analysis and micro plasma applications, as well as research on related new devices, such as the atmospheric pressure glow discharge micro plasma element analysis method presented by Professor Zhu Zhenli from China University of Geosciences, and the mercury analysis from sample pretreatment to analysis new methods/devices by Professor Hou Xiandeng's research group at Sichuan University; The analysis of biology, proteins, and cells has increasingly become a focus of attention, such as Professor Hu Bin's "Morphological Analysis of Selenium and Mercury in Cells and Selenium Mercury Antagonism" at Wuhan University, and Professor Zhang Lihua's "New Methods for Proteomic Analysis - From Qualitative and Quantitative to Interaction" at Dalian Institute of Chemistry. Experts have presented mostly unpublished research results and techniques. Hou Yanhong, Dr. Qin Bing, and Researcher Gong Yandong from the Marketing Department of Shimadzu Corporation have respectively published papers on the application of Shimadzu ICPMS, molecular spectroscopy, and XPS in scientific research.
