Differential scanning calorimeterDSC is an important thermal analysis instrument widely used in various fields such as materials science, chemistry, pharmaceuticals, etc.

Differential scanning calorimeterIt can detect the difference in heat flux at the micro watt level, with a measurement temperature range usually covering -170 ℃ to 1650 ℃, and some models can even reach -175 ℃ to 725 ℃, meeting the testing needs of different materials. It can measure various thermodynamic and kinetic parameters, including melting temperature, crystallization temperature, glass transition temperature, specific heat capacity, reaction heat, phase diagram, reaction rate, crystallization rate, polymer crystallinity, and sample purity. The required sample size for testing is usually a few milligrams to tens of milligrams, which reduces material consumption and is particularly suitable for precious or difficult to obtain samples.

Selection suggestion:

1.Temperature range and heating rate:

Select the appropriate temperature range based on testing requirements to ensure coverage of all critical thermal transition points.

The heating rate affects the testing accuracy and time, and should be selected according to the material characteristics (such as 0.02 ℃/min to 300 ℃/min).

2.Atmosphere control:

Support inert gases (such as nitrogen), oxidizing gases (such as air), or vacuum environments to meet testing requirements under different reaction conditions.

3.Data collection and resolution:

Choose a high-resolution data acquisition system (such as a 24 bit analog-to-digital converter) to ensure accurate capture of weak thermal effects.

Consider the calorimeter and temperature correction functions of the instrument to improve the reliability of the test results.

4.Sample adaptability:

Confirm the instrument's requirements for sample morphology (powder, film, block) and size to avoid test failure due to sample incompatibility.

For samples containing acid radicals, halogens, and other components, it is necessary to inform the supplier in advance to ensure testing safety.
