Overall requirements for CEMS operation and maintenance management
Date: 2025-12-01Read: 2

To ensure the stable operation and accurate and reliable data of the Continuous Emission Monitoring System (CEMS), the operation and maintenance unit should establish and improve the operation management system, clarify job responsibilities, and standardize the operation and maintenance process in accordance with standards such as HJ 75 and equipment manuals. Operations personnel must have a comprehensive understanding of the working principles, operation, and maintenance skills of CEMS to ensure that the system continues to meet monitoring requirements.

Detail 1: Daily Inspection Standards

  1. The operation and maintenance unit should develop detailed inspection procedures, clarify inspection items, methods, and standards, and strictly implement them.

  2. Each inspection should fully record the inspection date, project content, operating status, etc., and all records should be promptly archived for future reference.
Note:The daily inspection cycle shall not exceed 7 days.

Detail 2: Daily maintenance requirements

  1. Develop a maintenance plan based on the CEMS manual, specifying the maintenance content, cycle, and consumables replacement requirements, and record and archive it after implementation.

  2. When replacing spare parts or consumables, it is necessary to record their name, specifications, quantity, and other information; If it involves certified reference materials or standard samples, key information such as source, concentration, and expiration date should also be recorded.

  3. Any problems discovered during inspections or maintenance must be promptly addressed and recorded throughout the entire process to ensure that the system quickly returns to normal.

Detail point three: Daily quality assurance and response to loss of control

  1. Daily operational quality assurance is the foundation for ensuring the validity of CEMS data and must be systematically and regularly implemented.

  2. When CEMS loses control of its indicators or operates abnormally, corrective measures should be taken immediately, and the subsequent calibration, maintenance, and verification cycles should be shortened until the system returns to a stable and reliable state.

Based on the current environmental policy orientation, CEMS operation and maintenance should further strengthen:

  • Data authenticity and full process trackingAll operation, maintenance, and calibration records should be electronically archived to ensure traceability of data trajectories.

  • Intelligent and Preventive MaintenanceEncourage the use of digital means to monitor operational status, provide early warning of faults, and improve operational efficiency.

  • Compliance self inspection and continuous improvementRegularly conduct system verification and performance evaluation against new environmental standards to ensure that monitoring results comply with legal regulations and emission supervision requirements.

Through systematic and refined operation and maintenance management, CEMS ensures long-term stable operation, providing solid and reliable data support for environmental supervision and corporate self-discipline.
