If you want to operate a constant temperature and humidity weighing system efficiently, you can't do without understanding these

The constant temperature and humidity weighing system isThe core equipment used for precise measurement of sample quality in fields such as environmental monitoring, pharmaceuticals, and chemical engineering has a direct impact on data accuracy due to its operational stability. However, many users neglect key details in practical operations, resulting in low system efficiency or biased results. To run the system efficiently, the following core points are essential.
1、 Accurate control of environmental parameters is the foundation
The core function of a constant temperature and humidity system is to maintain a constant temperature and humidity inside the box, but it should be noted that:
1. Temperature fluctuations should be less than 0.5 ℃: Excessive or insufficient temperature can cause the sample to adsorb or release moisture, affecting the weighing results. For example, when weighing drugs with strong hygroscopicity, if the temperature fluctuation exceeds 1 ℃, it may result in a mass deviation of more than 0.1mg.
2. Humidity stability ± 1% RH: Changes in humidity directly affect the moisture content of the sample. For example, when weighing inorganic salt samples in high humidity environments, a water film may form on the surface, resulting in a false high mass; In low humidity environments, hygroscopic samples may rapidly lose water.
3. Preheating and equilibration time: Preheat for at least 30 minutes after starting up, and wait for the temperature and humidity sensor to stabilize before placing the sample; When replacing the sample, wait for the box to rebalance (usually 10-15 minutes) to avoid parameter fluctuations caused by frequent door opening.

2、 Samples and operational details determine success or failure
1. Sample state pretreatment: Moisture absorbing samples should be sealed and stored, and equilibrated in the system for at least 2 hours before weighing; Volatile samples should be stored in sealed containers to prevent quality loss.
2. Selection of weighing containers: Priority should be given to containers with smooth surfaces and inert materials (such as glass or polytetrafluoroethylene) to avoid sample adsorption or reaction; The container needs to be dried and cooled in advance to the temperature inside the box to prevent the introduction of temperature difference errors.
3. Avoid human interference: When weighing, gently open and close the door to reduce airflow disturbance; Operators need to wear anti-static gloves to avoid charge interference with high-precision sensors.
3、 Equipment maintenance and calibration are key to long-term and efficient operation
1. Sensor calibration: Use a standard temperature and humidity meter (such as a first level platinum resistance thermometer and dew point meter) to calibrate the box sensor every month. If the error exceeds the limit, contact the manufacturer for adjustment.
2. Filter and air duct cleaning: Clean the inlet filter of the box every quarter to prevent dust accumulation from affecting temperature and humidity uniformity; Check the operation status of the fan to avoid uneven wind speed causing local temperature and humidity abnormalities.
3. Maintenance of humidity generator: If the system uses a humidity generator (such as an ultrasonic humidifier), it is necessary to regularly replace the pure water in the water tank to avoid clogging the nozzle with scale; Check the condition of the humidification membrane to prevent aging from causing a decrease in humidification efficiency.
Constant temperature and humidity weighing systemEfficient operation does not only rely on the equipment itself, but also requires users to master environmental control, operating standards, and maintenance skills. Only by strictly controlling temperature and humidity parameters, standardizing sample processing procedures, and regularly maintaining equipment can the accuracy and repeatability of weighing results be ensured, providing reliable data support for scientific research and production.
