Zirconia gas chromatograph is a chromatographic analysis instrument that uses an oxidized solid electrolyte primary cell as a detector, specifically designed to analyze the content of trace amounts of hydrogen, oxygen, methane, and carbon monoxide in high-purity inert gases. With the characteristics of high sensitivity, high selectivity, and simultaneous analysis of multiple components in a single injection, a hydrogen flame ionization detector can be added according to user needs. It can also detect carbon dioxide and total hydrocarbons, making it a very practical instrument for gas production and use units. Main application: Used for laboratory testing of high-purity inert gases and real-time control of gas quality in gas production of air separation units. The high sensitivity of the instrument can effectively solve the separation of hydrogen in neon and oxygen in argon.
Structural analysis of zirconia gas chromatograph:
(1) Carrier gas system
Including gas source, gas purification, gas flow rate control, and measurement.
Gas sources for gas chromatography can be divided into four categories according to their applications: carrier gas, combustion gas, auxiliary gas, and driving gas.
① Carrier gas: an analytical system that requires high purity and good quality. Generally, commonly used carrier gases include nitrogen, hydrogen, argon, helium, etc.
② Gas: Generally, hydrogen is used, as long as it can be ignited normally and does not interfere with analysis. High purity cylinder gas or hydrogen generators can be used. If the budget is sufficient, use a hydrogen generator because it is safer.
③ Gas aid: Generally, air is used as long as it can help with combustion and does not interfere with analysis. High purity steel cylinder gas or air generator can be used.
④ Drive air: usually air.
(2) The detection of zirconia gas chromatograph also requires the selection of gas source, which is generally considered according to the detector.
① FID: Need to load gas, gas, and auxiliary gas. Generally speaking, it is equipped with nitrogen gas (high-purity steel cylinder gas or nitrogen generator), hydrogen gas (steel cylinder gas or hydrogen generator), and air (steel cylinder gas or air generator).
② TCD: A carrier gas is required. Generally speaking, in order to improve sensitivity, we recommend that customers provide hydrogen or helium gas. But if the customer wants to analyze hydrogen, we need to mix argon, nitrogen, or helium.
③ ECD: Need to load gas. Generally speaking, it is equipped with nitrogen gas.
④ FPD: Requires loading gas, combustion gas, and auxiliary gas. Generally speaking, it is equipped with nitrogen gas (high-purity steel cylinder gas or nitrogen generator), hydrogen gas (steel cylinder gas or hydrogen generator), and air (steel cylinder gas or air generator).
⑤ TSD: Requires loading gas, gas, and auxiliary gas. Generally speaking, it is equipped with nitrogen gas (high-purity steel cylinder gas or nitrogen generator), hydrogen gas (steel cylinder gas or hydrogen generator), and air (steel cylinder gas or air generator).
