What factors should be considered when choosing an electronic leak detector?
Date: 2025-08-25Read: 1
  Electronic leak detectorIt is a key equipment used for precise detection of gas or liquid leaks in laboratories, industrial production, refrigeration and air conditioning fields. Its core function is to capture trace signals of the leaking medium through sensors and convert them into recognizable electrical signals, helping operators quickly locate the leakage point, avoiding medium waste, environmental hazards or equipment failures.
choiceElectronic leak detectorWhen testing, it is important to focus on the following parameters to ensure compatibility with the testing requirements:
1. Sensitivity: measures the ability of an instrument to capture trace leaks, usually expressed in terms of "volume concentration" or "mass leakage rate";
2. Scope: Choose a leak detector with a wider frequency range to detect more types of leaks and improve detection accuracy.
3. Time/Recovery Time: Response time refers to the time from contact with the leaked medium to the alarm; Recovery time refers to the time it takes for the instrument to return to standby mode after leaving the leakage area;
4. Type:
Pen probe: suitable for narrow spaces (such as laboratory pipeline joints, equipment gaps);
Extended flexible probe: suitable for deep cavities and high-temperature areas;
Sampling pump probe: suitable for long-distance or enclosed spaces (actively inhaling gas for more accurate detection);
5. Adaptability: working temperature, humidity (to avoid high humidity affecting sensor life), anti-interference ability (such as anti electromagnetic interference, anti environmental noise).
6. Reliability: Prioritize products with reasonable structural design and strong environmental adaptability to ensure long-term stable operation. Critical lifespan and ease of replacement, reducing maintenance costs.
