Advantages and working principle of gas sampling bag
Date: 2025-09-21Read: 0

Gas sampling bagIt is a gas collection device made of materials such as Tedlar film, Teflon film, or aluminum foil composite film. Its advantages include:

1. Low adsorption and chemical stability

Using materials such as Tedlar (polytetrafluoroethylene), Teflon (polytetrafluoroethylene), or aluminum foil composite film, it has extremely low gas adsorption and strong chemical stability. It can store industrial gases for a long time without concentration changes, ensuring the accuracy of sampling results.

2. Economy and convenience

Compared to sampling tanks and solvent analysis tubes, gas sampling bags have lower costs, are easier to operate, and are suitable for sampling volatile organic compounds (VOCs) and permanent gases at ppb to ppm levels. They are an ideal alternative for industrial hygiene, ambient air, indoor air, and fixed source testing scenarios.

3. Temperature and pressure resistance performance

Wide temperature resistance range: Aluminum foil sampling bags can be used at temperatures ranging from -30 ℃ to+60 ℃, adapting to different environmental conditions.

Pressure resistant design: The inflation pressure usually does not exceed 10kPa (aluminum foil bag) or 3kPa (Teflon bag) to prevent excessive expansion and ensure that the airbag is fully inflated but not too tight.

3. Diversified design meets scene requirements

Material selection: Select materials based on gas characteristics.

Function extension: The dual on/off valve design supports one in and one out, making it easy to clean; High elasticity silicone rubber sampling pad combined with needle sampling to ensure airtightness; Anti static and foldable designs meet the needs of special scenarios.

Gas sampling bagThe design revolves around "gas isolation and stable storage", with key principles:

Gas barrier properties: The material of the bag body needs to have an extremely low gas permeability coefficient to prevent the leakage of target gases (such as VOCs, SO ₂, O ₂, etc.) inside the bag, or the infiltration of external air (such as O ₂, CO ₂, moisture) inside, which can cause distortion of sample concentration.

Chemical inertness: The bag body and sealing components need to have no chemical reaction with the collected gas sample, and should not adsorb or absorb any components (especially trace components) in the sample, ensuring that the sample remains stable from collection to analysisConsistency of components.
