What aspects should be considered for the storage of nanoimprint adhesive
Date: 2025-10-22Read: 1
As a core material in the field of micro nano processing, the performance of nanoimprint adhesive directly affects the accuracy and yield of pattern transfer. Due to its extreme sensitivity to the environment, a scientific storage method is key to ensuring its stability. The following provides a detailed explanation from four aspects: environmental control, container selection, operational standards, and special scenario management.
1、 Accurate control of environmental parameters
Constant temperature and humidity system
Temperature: Most nanoimprint adhesives need to be strictly stored in an environment of 2-8 ℃. Low temperature can significantly inhibit the movement of molecular segments and delay the occurrence of crosslinking reactions. Superconducting cold storage is more suitable for long-term storage, and medical refrigerators can be used for short-term turnover.
Humidity: The relative humidity should be controlled within the range of 30% to 50%. If it is too high, it can cause abnormal solvent evaporation or hydrolysis side reactions, while if it is too low, it can increase the risk of static electricity accumulation. Suggest pairing a dehumidifier with a hygrometer for real-time monitoring.
Light shielded storage: The outer packaging is wrapped in opaque containers or aluminum foil to isolate visible light and ultraviolet light, preventing viscosity changes caused by pre exposure. Laboratory grade anti light storage cabinets are an ideal choice.
Cleanliness management
The storage area should reach a cleanliness level of Class 1000 or above to avoid particle deposition and colloidal contamination in the air. The surface of the shelf should be covered with dust-proof cloth and should not be mixed with volatile substances.
2、 Container and Packaging Strategy
Original packaging priority principle
Unopened newly purchased products should be kept in their original factory sealed packaging, as they have been effectively blocked from oxygen and water vapor by inert gas replacement (such as argon/nitrogen). Do not replace containers at will. If packaging is required, use PTFE coated glass bottles or high-density polyethylene bottles.
The bottle mouth needs to be equipped with a spiral cap with a polytetrafluoroethylene liner, and after tightening, a secondary seal with raw material tape should be added to prevent solvent vapor from escaping.
Small independent packaging
For frequently used production line scenarios, it is recommended to purchase ampoules or syringe pre packaged products with a capacity of less than 10mL to reduce the risk of contamination caused by repeated unsealing. After each individual use, the remaining amount needs to be refilled with protective gas and frozen.
3、 Operational standards and dynamic management
Standardization of access process
After taking it out of the refrigerator, it is necessary to warm it back to room temperature (about 30 minutes) to prevent condensation from dripping into the gel. Wear powder free latex gloves throughout the operation, and disinfect the bottle body with isopropanol before use.
When pouring, it should flow slowly along the bottle wall, and violent shaking or the generation of bubbles is prohibited. Unused glue should not be poured back into the original bottle and should be labeled separately before being used up as soon as possible.
Validity tracking and warning mechanism
Establish an electronic inventory management system to record the production date, opening time, and remaining quantity of each batch. Products approaching their expiration date (usually 6 months) should be prioritized for use and undergo performance retesting.
4、 Special scenario response plan
Protection during transportation
Long distance transportation adopts a combination of dry ice refrigeration and vacuum insulation box, with built-in impact sensors to monitor vibration amplitude. The accompanying documents should be labeled with "perishable goods" and "keep away from radiation sources".
International transportation must comply with IATA dangerous goods air transport regulations to avoid potential damage caused by X-ray security checks.
Emergency Response Plan
When a small amount of leakage occurs, immediately use oil absorbing cotton to absorb it. Collect the waste liquid in a brown glass bottle labeled as "UV curable waste" and hand it over to a professional hazardous waste organization for disposal. Skin contact requires rinsing with sodium ethoxylated alkyl sulfate solution.
5、 Equipment collaborative management
The equipment used in conjunction with the glue machine, hot plate, etc. should be located in the same room as the glue material to avoid condensation caused by temperature differences. Before the end of each day's work, it is necessary to clean the residual adhesive film on the countertop to prevent contamination from solidified materials during subsequent experiments.
