Precautions for using microwave chemical synthesis extractor
Date: 2025-09-21Read: 0
  Microwave chemical synthesis extractorIt can penetrate the sample at the speed of light, instantly converting energy into thermal energy, and the reaction time can be shortened from several hours in traditional methods to minutes. Avoid local overheating, especially suitable for thermosensitive substances or complex reaction systems. Selective towards polar molecules, allowing for precise control of the dissolution or reaction rate of target components. This equipment is widely used in fields such as organic synthesis, material preparation, environmental monitoring, and food testing, and is a key replacement for traditional heating and extraction equipment in modern laboratories.
  Microwave chemical synthesis extractorPrecautions for use:
1. Sample and solvent selection:
Prohibit the handling of substances with "no polarity, low dielectric constant" (such as pure benzene, petroleum ether, which cannot absorb microwaves and can easily cause microwave reflection and damage to the magnetron);
Avoid using solvents with "low boiling point and easy explosion" (such as acetone, which can cause explosive boiling when heated by microwave, and require explosion-proof film and pressure control system);
If there are metal impurities (such as iron nails and metal powders) in solid samples, they need to be removed in advance (metals will reflect microwaves, generate electric sparks, and ignite solvents).
2. Safety operation specifications:
Do not start the microwave when the cavity door is not fully closed;
When taking out the sample container, high temperature resistant gloves must be worn (the surface temperature of the container can reach 100 ℃ or above to avoid burns);
Regularly check for microwave leaks (use a professional detector to detect leaks every 6 months, and stop using if the leakage exceeds the standard).
3. Experimental accuracy control:
The same batch of experiments should maintain consistency in sample size, solvent volume, and heating rate to reduce errors;
Thermally sensitive samples require "pulse power control" (such as microwave output for 30 seconds, pause for 10 seconds, to avoid local overheating causing target substance decomposition);
When starting to use a new sample, it is recommended to conduct a "condition optimization experiment" first.
